I visited many people on the way home and finally have arrived where I started, eight days and 2550 miles of communtin (plus about 200 miles of 'detours' ) I enjoyed having my car there, but I wouldn't drive it that far again.
I'm glad to see it's gone to a good home, being driven the way it was meant and holding up after so many track and street miles. I sure do miss it. I can't imagine driving it 2550 miles cross country.
I plan to attend an event at Beaver Run some time this summer. Maybe I'll see you there.
no one came close and it was surprising how fast we came up and passed people (except Yahnoza, that took at least 1/2 a lap).
Yeah, my NA beast and 800+ more lbs is hard to catch Ill have to get some race tires one of these days...a VVL is tempting, but the turbo project has already started...although when you passed it was with authority....
Actually, that's me driving in that picture and I assure you NOBODY got near us when I was driving. That car flat out hauls Malebutay. sh*t, even even hauls my fat butay.
well, i remember going out on track behind some fast black B13, and i was hounding it for the better part of a lap and then it murdered me on the front straight and i never got it back...
unless you were pussy footing it the first lap, which is likely what happened... sh*t.

Yep....
I told Jason we'd take it slow for the first couple of laps and I saw someone was coming up on us and they showed us a passing flag. I said "fu*k no, nobody is passing us this session." They didn't.
Jason, that is one awesome car. It was a privilege to drive it. Seriously. Remember to work your front bite at turn-in.

Good God... had you put any more tape on that car... We would have had you escorted out peacefully... (Not that you would have left peacefully)... That car was hideous anyways... Too bad I didnt get a chance to ride in it on track...

Thanks a lot. I had a blast riding along with your driving. I learned a lot and used a little bit of it the next session when I was by myself. Steve may have been behind me then, as I remember someone being really close for about half a lap and then disappearing, never to be seen again
My convention highlight was riding along with Geo and seeing how fast the car could be once I learn how (and how fast) to enter the corners properly. Two days after I got back from Texas I went to Beaverun in PA and was flying around that track. I was entering the corners there hotter than previously (without overdoing it, eventually) and my instructors were pretty happy, as was I.

Have you got a complete mod list of things done to the car? Y'know, so we can all start our wish lists. Nice ride.
I won't go into all the details of the VE, there are plenty of threads on power and people making more than me.
Suspension: Shocktek (out-of-business) inverted adjustable shortened Bilsteins with 300/250 springs. Cusco front camber plates (may be replaced with the GC's I have sitting at home). Rear pillowball mounts. Stock front sway bar, nutech adjustable rear sway bar, at full soft. ES bushings all around. I think the suspension is set at zero toe front and rear, -1.5 deg rear camber, -2.2 front camber (I think I will increase to -2.5). I haven't measured caster, as the cusco plates can't adjust it anyway.
Chassis: Stripped except for dash and some of the front door panels. Battery in trunk, replaced with lightweight one. Autopower 4 point roll bar. Aftermarket seats and 5pt harness', momo steering wheel with LTB motorsports 1" spacer and SMC shifter with stock knob. ActiveTuning RSTB. Stillen FSTB. NuTech (out-of-business) lower control arm brace.
Brakes: These rock 11.75" rotors with 4 piston wilwood calipers. Wilwood polymatrix C pads. Maxima rear brakes. Stainless lines, motul 600 RBF.
