I have a question for you guys. I saw a while back that there is a game fo PS2 which the Australian V8 Supercars. I can't seem to find it in the US. Do any of you know of a place that sells it over there that will ship to the US? If not if someone could pick it up and ship it to me. I could Paypal the money. I am a big supercar nut and have to wait all summer until Speed TV airs the races over the winter here in the states. I was also wondering if the supercars are comparible to NASCAR is in the US? It seems to have a large following.

Don't want to be the bringer of bad news but i'm guessing that New Zealand's TV format is PAL like Australia's. As you are in the states running the NTSC system, the game won't work on your PS2 (unless you have had the PS2 chipped and have a PAL compatible TV). Can any of you New Zealanders confirm this??
Sorry to let you know but hope all works out for you. I was in the states on holiday recently and seeing how cheap your games are I wanted to buy some, but have the same problem, your NTSC games won't play on my PAL PS2.....

I was just notified by the company that it will not work. There has to be some kind of fix. I know of a few people who have had games from over seas.
The average game here is about $50 USD. The New Zealand price ended up being about $42 USD shipped. You should have bought a few games I saw a bunch of different adapters for NTSC to PAL. They weren't very expensive either.
How did you like the US? I have always wanted to go AUS. Someday maybe.
It isn't just a PAL/NTSC adapter that is required, the PS2 needs to be modified internally as Sony have built them so that they won't play NTSC games in an Aussie PS2, so that we are forced to buy games from Aussie shelves (kind of like DVD region locked players). I already have a PAL and NTSC compatible TV (so that I can play zone 1 NTSC DVD's), I guess that PAL compatible TV's would be pretty rare in the US....
As for my trip, the US was awesome. It is amazing that within a few hundred miles you can see so many totally different cities. The sheer size of New York is unbeleivable of course and the Florida Everglades was amazing, gators everywhere. You should come on down to Australia though, can't beat it!!!!
supercars are cool. Saw them at the Melbourne Grand Prix. They weren't quite as impressive as the F1's though, whcih I could hear from my appartement 3 miles away.
