only if you cut the original fender out from underneath it. At the most only a 245 on front, but a 225 should suffice.

Fender flares by themselves don't provide anything. If you need to run a big ass tire and are allowed to by your rules, then I guess you'd need a flare to cover it. Tires are the benefit. Flares are a side effect. However, we are talking about a very wide tire. We are running 235-245 40-17" tires on one of the racecars, and I just flared the stock sheetmetal a little by hand. If you slammed the car on tires this big, you would probably need to do some flares, but you'd also be having to basically cut out the whole fender area and apron. Not to mention serious correction of the suspension geometry and a lot of fabrication. Basically, if you need flares, the flares themselves are probably the least of your worries

there are some pics on www.buckfang.com The flaring is very subtle. It would be better to run a smaller diameter tire in a 245+ width than a 17. 17 with that much tire is like hotwheels on a sentra. You will also find it very difficult to find wheels for less than $4-500 each that are available in a 4x100 and 8+ inches wide and a low offset. There aren't many out there.

Thanks for the info andris i might do the same thing to my nx. I thought that since guys like you are running such a big tires i figure u would use fender flares. i wonder how 235-245 40-17 would look on a nx. thanks for the info.
