Measuring ride height. Rocker Panel or crimp?

Where do you B13 SE-R racers measure your ride height? the horizontal rocker panel area near the jack point or the vertical "crimp" at the lowest point?

I used the latter, getting about 5.75 and 6.25 at the lowest point on the crimped vertical at the jack point.

Too low? Just right?

Thanks!

hmm.. i don't think it matters as long as you are consistent... i.e. always using the same point to measure

About right, don't go any lower, the geometry sucks on these cars and going lower just makes a mess and pops axles. Uusaly I measure from the fender lip to the center of the hub. Then I measure from the bottom of the sptring perch to the end of the collar on the strut. This way if I take things apart, I don't mess up my corner weighting.

When you corner weight make sure you disconnect your swaybars and after adjust the preload out of them. Its easy with the progress bars.

I measure from the lip to the center of the hub as well. I got tired of having to change my wheels every time I want to change the ride height. Measuring this way takes the wheel dia. out of the equation.

If you can reinstall the swaybars with the driver in the car. That way you make sure that there is no preload at ride height with the driver in the car. I say "if you can" because I know it might be kinda hard on a regular car. It's easy on our FSAE car but that's another story. Getting as much preload out of them is really important though.
