i am going to purchase a setup for my b13 that is a auto X/ daily, and i have been reading the forum and it seem like the progressive setup has a problem rubbing and hurting the coilovers and the teins lower the car to much and are to stiff, and modifying the shock body to fit the koni 8611 is a option.
so what i am asking for is the good, bad, and the ugly, of all 3 of my optinons
please help i dont want to buy a setup and be unhappy
Teins are adjustable, they may be a shortened body design but you can raise them to almost stock height is desired. Also the SS's are adustable so being too stiff is a null point. Just set to desired level.

I have shortened Konis (regular B13 insersts) with Tokiko springs. Very nice for daily driving, not harsh at all (compared to the racecar which has Ground Controls)

Progressive setup? What the heck is that? Do you mean Progress setup? If so, I still don't know what you're referring to. I've had my for over a year with no issues. Are you referring to Dan's camber plate issue? I beleive that had to do with improper installation.
Oh ya, the Progress CO are a bit harsh for daily. Just my opinion. My other car has Ground control with Koni reds and it rides much nicer. I track that car on occasion, and it's still carves a pretty mean corner to boot.
i am talking about the rubbing issue and i didnt know that he installed them incorrectly, i also like the idea of the adjustability with the teins, but i did not consider the k sport, have you run an autox with them is so how did they fair
Yes, good for street daily driving and money. Don't forget the Koni bumpstops as well.
I've finally installed my Hyperco/AGX/Koni Bumpstops on my daily driver.
Down time on my SE-R project, so I thought that I'll use it on the GA16 daily driver.
And I tried the daily driver at the Autocross with dead 170,000 miles stock suspension.
I did pretty good for a body rolling stock GA16 Sentra.
Now I'm going to compare the Hyperco/AGX next race day.
And for street, it's good, no complaints from me.

I had Hypercos on AGX's with Koni Bumpstops for 2 years. It was very good for daily driving and handled great for 2 autocrosses and 5 track days. I just now (2 months ago) moved up to GC coilovers (300/279 F/R spring rates). This set up is ok for daily driving, but I haven't been to a track day or autocross to have a chance to dial it in. One advantage to going with coilovers is that you can use camber/caster plates to align the car properly. With the hyperco/agx set up, I ate through tires because I had an alignment problem that couldn't be fixed. There may be a solution to this now, other than using undersized bolts, camber bolts or slotting the strut ear. Also, no matter what set-up you use, get a progress rear sway bar. This is the piece that completes any suspension set up and really gets the car to handle exceptionally well.
Edit: If I had it to do over again, I would go with shortened Konis in a coilover set up.

You had at least two folks on this post who REALLY know - MaddMatt and BigB. If you don't know, Matt works for Carbotech. You'll see plenty here about how good their pads are; Matt races B13. BigB is a serious and seriously good ax'er. The issues with the Hyperco/AGX approach on adjustability are the same as for stock - you get to adjust toe only unless you do camber bolts which the ax'ers all say won't stay put. I use them with my AGX/Hypercos, but will be happy to find another solution. You will get a BIT more negative camber with the Hypercos as you'll lower about an inch. Caster can be helped with Octotat's lca caster bushings. Don't know if there's a camber plate that will fit stock towers as opposed to coilovers.
