The reason the driver was holding up a closed fist was that he was warning the drivers that he was stopping or slowing way down for the incident. Common practice in racing.

It looks like you really had the pass completed for the most part and the Golf driver has no situational awareness... not mention slow reactions.

Is the Golf driver a former NASCAR driver?!?!?
Did he not even notice he was dragging down the side of you?

Yeah.. first you see the smoke from the tires rubbing, at that point he should have backed out of it... instead you see him continue to turn into you...

Holy CRAP!!!! Usually you see that kind of pile up in NASCAR, you know, " The Big One". I had no idea from watcing your video, Joe, that the wreck was so big. How many cars went on the trailer after that one? Wow.

Umm...6 wide?! Any way you slice that, someone was bound to end up with crinkles by turn 1. Props for the camera car laying back and avoiding the whole mess. Sometimes "winning" the first turn just isn't worth it.

I would be so pissed! That was a pretty good pile up and it looks like just plain stupidity that this turned out the way it did.
