I wanted too, but it's just not gonna work. I bought this car with 229K on it and I just don't know enough about the health of the motor to do it. I have a spare motor I was going to rebuild, I just haven't done it yet. I really wanted to mess around with the suspension and the new Azenis I just ordered, damnit.

ok, I'm sending off the oil analysis right now and compression testing the motor this afternoon. With any luck, I'll be able to swap over the gen5 header and get ina dyno run so I have some idea what my powerband looks like. (fingers crossed)
Gotta: Flipper was a NASA and SCCA race car for a few years. I'ts current engine came from Lee's first NX and has 180k miles on it. It once spit 80% of it's oil capacity out the pressure sender hole after a brass fitting broke off at redline. It once was driven 4 miles with no coolant when it's original body was wrecked. And... It's one of the strongest bolt on DEs I've ever driven! DO IT MAN!
GP: They are the same size and offset that Crazy Joe and Greg Amy run. They are the perfect size for an AD22 equipped track car.

good lord, the abuse...ok, that was inspirational, but I could only hope to have that kind of luck if those things happened to my baby, lol. Ok, now strongly considering it again...
Well just wait until you see the car! It's been on it's roof, been on fire, been sideswiped, and been rear ended lol. BTW *all* of this was in the hands of it's former owner heehee.

a'ight, I'll have the oil analysis results by Friday hopefully. I have a Nismo radiator and thermostat to install as well as the clutch, flywheel and gen5 header. Hopefully the tires won't be on backorder. I'll register as soon as I get a positive oil analysis back from Blackstone...
Edit: I can't wait to meet "Flipper"...been on fire, wow!
With this many people going, I may come up and visit even if my car isn't ready.
Greg, Zach, Matt, If you want to come up/over the night before my place is available. It is an apartment, so I don't have garage or driveway parking, but it is <1.5 hours from mid-ohio.
