camber and toe settings

I was just wondering what some of the autocrossers think of this type of a setup for my b14. I am taking my car to get aligned this weekend and I am just looking to get some feedback....

whats on the car..
tein ss
tein pillow ball mounts
progress front and rear antisway bars

I am thinking of running -2.5 degrees camber and 1/16 toe out in the front

Also, if someone could kindly explain what exactly caster is, I would appreciate it. I am having a hard time understanding it from the things I have read.

All feedback is welcome.

Thanks.

Steve

I run an almost identical setup:
tein ss, pillowball mounts, progress rear, stb's

I had my camber set at -2.5 about 4 months back and 0 toe and although the car handles wonderfully, it can be a pain in the ass sometimes for daily driving (especially in the rain). My toe seems to be a bit whacky so I'm having pretty bad wear issues at the moment, so I cannot really comment on expected wear other than don't be surprised if your tires start cupping and wearing horribly .

I think 2.5 is a bit extreme for a daily driven car. I was thinking of cutting back to 2.0 when I get my car realigned in the upcoming weeks. The car felt much better with this much toe and it almost feels as if it never runs out of grip, but you pay a price for it if it is a daily driver. As for the toe, 1/16 out would be good.

I think overall you are looking at a very competitive setup but it just depends on how much you want to sacrifice outside of autox.

Caster = good.

-2.5 camber is fine on a street car. I run -3ish. Toe out will chew up your tires much faster than camber.

which is why I said that my opinion on the wear issue isn't very valuable since I'm confident that my toe was improperly set to begin with

I run in STS. The region I am in(steel cities region), STS is the one of the hardest/most competitive classes in the region. It sucks because I hate not winning.

2.5 camber is good, Caster is not adjustable on your setup so ignore it, Toe out on a street driven car is overkill considering the huge con of tire wear. Set the car to zero toe and then add just a "smidge" of toe in. Smidge=1/32nd or whatever the machine can barely measure. It helps kill the wandering from all the extra camber and makes the car more liveable.

I have -2.5 degrees camber (thanks to a little grinding on the lower strut bolts) and 1/16" toe out, but my car only sees the street on weekends
