Bumpsteer is controlled via the tie rods. So no it would not affect that.

Isnt bump steer caused by the tie rod and control arm traveling in a different arc? If so, then wouldnt moving the control arm affect it? It's not going to fix it, but I would think it will still have an affect.

That is correct, but with the car lowered it still is going to travel in a different arc.

They both need to be spaced down to return to the stock neutral position.

These arms will in fact make the bumpsteer much worse unless you relocate the tie rod ends which isnt really that diffcult. Jason Swindel makes a kit to do it. Chuck perhaps you should make a tie rod relocation kit along the lines of what Jason and myself did to go long with your arms.

You should make a post in the race forum so your main customer group knows about it. Heck I didnt even know about it and it would have saved me a bunch of messing around a few weeks ago! Rats!

Brent, please post up once you have installed these. I am very interested, but I also have a progress front bar that I want to be sure cooperates with these.

What size tubing did you use, and why did you grind down the welds? Also, why did you go with square tubing and not round?

tubing = 1" x 1 1/2" x .85wall
the fab shop did the grinding, i don't know why. i'm guessing they must have made some ugly welds (some still look pretty ugly after they ground them). they are not the prettiest welds, but i have seen worse on production parts.

i used rectangular tubing to ease the complexity and for greater strength at the junction points. the same design out of 1"tubing would have needed more parts, fabrcation, welding, time and would cost more.

i am open to building custom arms to anyones specs.

I'd suggest telling them to not grind down the welds, thats not the best idea.

Mike you are right grinding those welds causes loss in structural strength of the weld a real fab shop would know that though already. They could be made a lot better. do it right the first time by TIG welding them vs. MIG which should not have been used to weld these up and would have resulted in a strong prettier weld that did not have to be ground out. IF I welded that way at my fab shop I would get fired.

Im a metals Technition (machinist/welder) for the USAF if anyone was wondering my qaulifications.

Good Idea , just needs some more final revising.

Good Luck

There isn't anything wrong with MIG though as long as it's in the hands of someone that knows how to use it.

you are right. I agree. I just find it easier to TIG in the first place. but it all depends on the welder and what they are comfortable using also time and effort differ.

hey guys

price drop $400 shipped!!!

i'm tired of messing with these things.

i bit of bad news though - the zinc plating is for sh*t. i'm gonna send them out as is, and you can run that or paint them or whatever. i'm dropping the price to $400 shipped to compensate.

i didn't get the end link stuff in today as i hoped. i should be able to send them out monday for anyone that's interested.

thanks for all your feedback, if i do another run i will incorporate some of your suggestions. for the amount of time and effort i put into these things .... i'm just not feeling the reward.

thanks
