I bought a turbo set up from a fellow member here and the transaction was very smooth. The seller, Jeremy, was very good in keeping contact with me and gladly answered many questions that I had regarding running a gtir turbo set up on my nx2000. The items came in boxed very well, and everything was wrapped in the box.
Thumbs up on that, however....
The ecu he sent me was from a CA18, NOT GTI-R.
Unfortunately, I was not able to tell the difference until the car was getting the overhaul. I, like many on this forum, gather parts slowly and then put them all together.
After confirming that the ECU he had sent me was the incorrect ECU, I have tried on numerous occasion to see if the two of us could come to an agreement. I do understand that I did wait quite a long time to install the ecu and do the actual swap, but at the same token I put trust into the buyer.
Later it came to my attention that the parts I have purchased are Third Party parts, by that I mean they did not belong to the buyer, they were off a blown motor that the buyer's brother was in possession of.
I honestly would not buy parts that are third party, nobody in their right mind would. Regardless, please see the below PMs that have flowed back and fourth:

It seems as though the ECU that I got here is for a CA18, not the GTI-R.
Lets see what we can do, I need this car running asap!
Thanks again,

I hope somebody can shed some light on this on the forum. If this is in fact the CA18 ecu we will need to try to come to some sort of arrangement.
Thanks!

I dont think I can run those injectors with a stock ecu. Even if I could I really would not want to, it would defeat the purpose of building a custom rail, and installing the resistors.
THanks for your quick responses Jeremy, I really appreciate it man.

Meanwhile I have been posting in the Thread regarding the issue, and have got great luck with Danny from florida who kindly sent me the proper ecu. I continued to post in the thread I started requesting G-Unit91 to PM me, or reply to my PMs so we can put this behind us, however I noticed he was not online much so I allowed the time to pass, hoping that when he does come online he does check PMs and reads them.
That was not the case so I pursued with more PMs.

No reply, but he is online and posting things, just not checking PMs, or the thread regarding our issue.

I see you online and posting in threads however you seem not to be able to reply to my PMs.
I have been very patient in waiting for you to reply to me and have not ruined all your threads and left negative feedback as many others would have.
I feel as though I should at least get some sort of reply from you. You have been a great seller, and I do appreciate all the questions you have answered for me, however at this point I would like to come to an agreement regarding the incorrect ECU.
Kindly reply to this PM.
Thanks,
-Shek
I honestly did not want to bring so much attention toward this matter, but at this point I had no choice. I have stated many times that Jeremy is a great seller, and was very kind to me and answered questions regarding the kit, but now he just doesn't want to address this issue.
He got this ECU from somebody else, and should have checked it when he bought it, or checked it when he sent it to me. I should have checked it when i got it. We need to come to a resolution.
G-Unit has not been online in quite a while, however was online to see my private messages, but did not respond.
I have PM'd his brother (Noise-O Fab )as G-Unit insisted would assist with this issue.
8/14 - a PM directed to Noise-O Fab

I sent him plenty of Private Messages and he has come online, simpy not replying to my messages.
I would appreciate any assistance you can provide in getting me his attention so we can come to an agreement.
Previously he has mentioned

Does that mean I no longer need to work with him, but rather with you? Please advise.
If anyone can get a hold of these 2 gentlemen please do, I'm sure they are tied up with their personal lives / work / family, but I just want to end this issue.
well idk what to do.you bought this turbo kit almost a year ago and now u got problems w/the ecu.i was also told u gave the parts to your mechanic to install, how do i know something wasn't done w/the ecu over there.whenever i buy parts from neone online as soon as i get them i go and make sure they all are the right parts and fit i dont wait 10 months and then try to get a refund.i dont know what to do

The pictures of the ECU that your brother sent me clearly show a NON GTIR ECU. If you are insisting that I got the ECU and ruined it, you are mistaken. You guys sent the wrong ECU. Please see the below images that your brother sent me.
I alerted your brother of the mistake in June, it is now August.
Not all of us know sr20's as much as you do, I could not tell what ecu it was just by looking at it...apparently you didn't either when you sent it to me. Please don't be upset that it took long for me to find out that you sent me the wrong ecu.
I, like many, gather parts and then install them, not buy everything in 1 week and install.
Like i said in my first post in the buyer/seller feed back thread....I should have checked the product when i got it, YOU should have checked the product when you sold it. I trusted your brother, he is very knowledgeable and was kind enough to answer many of my newbie questions, I should have test fitted everything as soon as I got it but I didn't, i piled it in my room.
Here are the pictures that YOU GUYS took:
Please do not insist that I switched the ECUs, your pictures clearly do not show a GTIR ECU. My mechanic did not ruin any ecu. You just sent me the wrong one. I paid for a GTIR ecu, you sent me a CA18 ecu, simple as that.
I have been very patient and waited months for somebody to reply to me. I have said nothing but good words about your brother, never anything negative, no negative feedback either. Bottom line, I want to return your CA18 ecu for a refund. I have purchased a real gtir ECU from Danny (HKS - thanks!).
well bottom line is that whole turbo kit came directly off a gti-r motor wich is in my buddy's car.he got the motor from one of those jdm site's,so what my brother sold is what i got.sorry for the wrong ecu i had no idea either, but my problem here is its been almost a year then u contact about problems come on,go to a store and buy something and try to return it after 31 days and they will tell sorry u own it.im not tryin to be an ass here but after 10 months those parts are yours and go report me to the moderaters i dont sell or buy from here so it dont matter if they bann me...like i said im sorry for the mistake im not denyin i sent the wrong ecu but i had no idea myself.next time check out parts as soon as it comes in and take care of any problems then not a year later.........
#1 - bought kit in OCT, report problem in June - 8months, not 10, not 1 year.
#2 - Your brother said you would take care of a refund, I guess not.
#3 - I do not know how a CA18 ECU fits on a GTIR motor. We both made a mistake, you sold the wrong one, and I bought the wrong one. Next time I will check what I buy, you should check what you sell. We should go half and half.
so it turns out G-Unit sold me kit for his brother (noise)got the kit from a friend who got the motor from some JDM site. I was terribly misinformed. Nobody in their right mind would purchase 3rd (or 4th) party goods.
Bought kit in October thinking it was from the seller, so I expected the parts to be in working condition, and the correct parts, turns out the kit wasn't his, nor his brothers, but just some parts that may or may not work. Fantastic. When I pull my motor out to do my swap I see the ECU does not fit (june) and try to make a deal with the buyer. I could send the ECU back for a refund, or I expect HALF of what I paid to DANNY (HKS) for a real ECU to be refunded so we both pay HALF AND HALF.
It is clear why Noise sold this through G-Unit, Jeremey is a great seller who follows through and has a good backing. This issue is clearly not his and that must be why he ignores my PMs. I would NEVER have bought this kit from somebody with only 1 sale.

Looks like this won't happen. 100% of my refund would go towards contributor-level account, basically to help support the sr20forum.
im hoping to have some extra cash within the next few weeks, also sometimes the injctors stick i had a bad 370 like that it was firing and i just tapped it with a screw driver and it started working.

G-Unit91 has been online and posting everyday but hasn't replied to my PM.
Jeremy (as i mentioned numerous times in this thread) has sold plenty of things on this forum and was very helpful in answering my questions regarding turbo setups, shipping inquiries, etc...
i don't think he deserves a negative from me, at the same time I just want what he said he would give me, not a full refund, just half, and it is now almost 2 months since i been promised $40, half of what i paid to Danny (HKS) for the correct ecu.
I am sure he will come through. I have dealt with him on numerous occasions and all were smooth as could be. Not trying to take sides, just trying to reassure you that he will come through!

No word from him yet I see. He hasn't replied to my PM either.
I'm not going to take any action on this regardless. I know he is a stand up guy and a long time member. He hasn't logged on since before I sent him the pm so I have no way of knowing if he got it or not.
Also I checked his status on G20.net and he has also not been active on there lately.
Lets give him some time. For all we know he could be out of town or unable to get to a computer.
He was on today, and multiple times in the weeks that have passed.
I have sent MANY messages using PM and have also tried to contact
CHRISCAR and MIKE to help with this, but I am still waiting for a response from this seller.
Well sorry to hear this hasn't been taken care of, The most I can do for now is ban him from posting in the classifieds. I'll send him another pm and let him know what the issue is again and I'll add his name to the no classifieds user group.
