Exclamation buschurracing.com - NOT good.

So, in effort to keep my car in tip top shape, I try and stay on top of the maintenance.

Did some research here on the forums to see which transmission oil would be best for my 05 SpecV.

After all that, I settled on going with BG SyncroShift II since it was a full synthetic, and many people recommended it with great reviews. Also, many people suggested getting it from http://www.buschurracing.com/ because of the good service and low prices.

After checking out my options, I found that on average most places sold it at best around $17 per quart. And buschurracing had it for $11 per quart.

I made an order for four(4) quarts and was done.

It did take 2 weeks to get it, which was annoying since they are shipping stuff that should be sitting in a warehouse, back room, shelf, etc ....

When I received the package, there was packing tape over the caps, which I'm assuming was to secure the caps during shipment.

However, the caps were in no way sealed to the bottle ( perforated twist aways, like milk jugs ), nor was there any type of seal on the bottle under the cap, IE: foil, plastic, etc ....

Was odd to me, but I let it go.

I replaced the transmission oil with what was received.

But then I started thing about it more. On top of that, I read an article on Blackstone Labs website about people in the oil industry trying to get over, blah blah blah.

So, in effort to ease my mind, I sent a sample to them for analysis directly from the bottle...i repeat, DIRECTLY FROM THE BOTTLE.

Now keep in mind what the specifics are on this oil:
SAE 75w80 API GL-4

This is the report:

What was received was a 20w on top of which all the info noted by Blackstone Labs is obviously NOT promising.

Plus, when I poured the sample from the bottle to send out, it smelled burnt/used, and was fairly discolored in a manner consistent with used oil.

so to anyone wanting to buy from them.

BE AWARE !!
