I know they have asked this question before...

I know they have asked this question before, but I just want to clarify...
I sold a cluster, I sent it out to him priority mail via usps.. when he recieved it it was broken... he never mentioned that he wanted insurance.. and I never mentioned on the post that I was giving insurance... Do I have to return his money or is he in fault for not mentioning not to put insurance?? Thanks for your opinions..

Depends. Technically, no insurance would be tough luck for the buyer, but it would look good for you to refund the money, or at least half.

Rob,
I think what's important to note is that the buyer requested on at least 2 communications to you to package the cluster well in order to survive the shipping process. However, the cluster was shipped with a very thin bubble wrap or barely a bubble wrap as it did not cover the cluster at all and to top it off was placed inside a very thin box...clearly to me shows no concern to the buyer once payment of $150 was received promptly, and not to mention the delay in shipping out the cluster.
I sold parts in here before and even bought insurance to protect me and the buyer should there be a problem in shipping..what's $2 or $3 for peace of mind and it also shows concern to the buyer and fellow forum member.
Sorry to post this in here, but since you posted it, I just want my side to be heard.
