I have decided I can't pursue this further. Jay seems to be getting in touch with people, but he will continue to be banned from doing any more business here.
Jay contacted me this weekend by e-mail and is attempting to resolve our issue. I will give updates periodicaly and post when this is entirely taken care of. Thanks to all those who helped me out and thanks to Jay for contacting me.
well everyone who likes to badmouth people behind their backs and when they're not around to defend themselves, i know Jay very well and hang with him quite frequently, he did change his name because he was gonna go turbo becuase he was going to give me the money so i could put the DET motor on my credit card, also i haven't been able to get in touch with him for the past couple of weeks, i don't know what happened, he just kind of droped of the face of the earth, also some RETARD calls me and asks for his number, yeah i gave it to that person but called jay immediatly following that phone call and gave him the number of some JUNKIE that called from Ohio-how did you get MY number anyway, i didn't even know you-well later SQUEEKS

I'm the "RETARD" that you referred to in your post. You know - the "JUNKIE from Ohio". To answer your question as to how I got your number, another forum member gave it to me. They told me that you might be able to help me get in contact with Jay. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you making my contacting Jay harder, it was a really big of you to call him after we got off the phone and say "hey, don't answer any calls from Ohio". That moved Jay and I much closer to the resolution of our issue - thanks!
I think I'm starting to see your point here - you wouldn't be mad if you sent someone $350 and they never sent you either your parts of a refund would you. You'd probably think that it was ok and that the guy you sent the money to was a real good, stand up guy. Makes a lot of sence dosn't it.
Just figured I'd let you know what a good guy you seem to be!
Here's a current update on my situation - for those who care, lol.
Total money I sent to Jay = $350
Total money refunded to date = $50
Total money still owed = $300
(This total does not include the extra $100 that Jay said he would pay me for the time and trouble so I could buy a new nitrous kit)
It's been 3 months since my last update and here is where I currently am at.
Month One :
Jay and I were in contact via e-mail. After several e-mails back and forth Jay sent me what was supposed to be the first of many payments that he would make in order to pay off the full balance of the debt. I received $50 via paypal during that first month, and was feeling pretty good about the arangement that Jay and I had, since he was telling me how sorry he was about everything that had happened and he was gonna keep sending me money until he got his debt paid off.
Month Two :
In the very beginning of the month I received an e-mail in which Jay promised that he would be sending out $100 since he'd promised several times since the last paypal payment that he would be sending out money. Over the remainder of the month Jay did stay in contact and kept saying that he would send the money. However, the money was never sent.
Month Three :
I've been e-mailing Jay for the past month and have not heard anything in responce. I've probably sent him 5 e-mails this month and all have gone through. Yesterday I sent him another e-mail and that e-mail was returned to me saying that "this account no longer exhists". Given that my prior e-mail on 11/20/03 went through no problem and then my 11/24/03 e-mail was returned -I can only assume that Jay has closed his e-mail. He has yet to contact me with a new e-mail address.
If anyone has a phone # that he can be reached at I would appreciate it greatly if you could PM it to me.
I'm honestly hoping that there was a problem with Jay's e-mail and he just couldn't respond. I really wanted to believe that he was set on doing the right thing, after he sent me the $50.
If anyone has contact with Jay please let me know a way to get in contact with him or let him know that he needs to contact me and let me know what's going on.
I'd like to thank everyone that's helped me up to this point. It's been appreciated.

Sorry, didn't meant to stir anything up. I was just getting ready to update the situation and came across that thread that I'd somehow missed and thought I would address it.

Exactly. If i was fu*ked out of money like this, i would take a trip down to fall river (i live about 40 minutes away from there) and TAKE my money back, and if that didn't work, i'd take him to court and make him pay double what he owed me. This guy needs to learn a lesson...and the fact that this other guy is trying to break up resolutions by telling jay not to answer any calls from ohio is simply crap and i think there is something fishy about it. That's just my $.02, take it or leave it....
was this the same guy that was being "hunted" down before for ripping off other members? I huge thread started where everyone started putting thier resources together and got his address, phone number, and even talked to to his parents? There was a lot of talk of someone going to kick his ass? I'm assuming it never happened?
