Yes actually, I think there was a woman who fell for that with her boat. She lost her boat and the "extra money" she sent back. He also tried to pull that scam on my friend about his se-r. Definately a scam.

yeah its a bad check, it'll bounce, and by then you were supposed to send him the extra balance... so he makes out with a couple grand, and possibly a car/boat/etc.

I think it's called the "Nigerian check scam" or something like that. I would've taken the check and been like "What check" He didn't send me sh*t.

he sent me the same e mail last year. but he lived in south africa. said he would send me 8300 for my car. as soon as i saw it was in south africa i just deleted it and said no way.

well. at least this guy gave me the motivation to get off my ass and take pics of my car!

by the way anyone, for real, want my 94 se-r? i need money real bad so even though i have put 3300 in it in the past 7mos. i am willing to let it go for book value2500.
