No, if you just want to modify your JWT program just dump it via the consult connection and burn the whole thing to a daughterboard. See Calumsult, rom dump tab. I made that for extracting stock roms, but it will work on any ecu.

For the record, I think modifiying a JWT ecu (or any other brand) you own is great (much better than running a S-AFC etc in conjunction), but just straight copying an ecu you don't own isn't cool.

Back on subject, rom tracing is for tuning. Its a must have, way cool feature.

http://www.calumsult.com/calumsu/ROMs/B14/

Those are all B14 roms, one is a GA (don't remember which) and the rest is a SR. The addys should be the same between the GA and SR for this ecu, they're almost identical. All dumps were taken with the ecu on a bench with no cas signals, so you can see what the ram looks like with the engine off.

The 'live' directory has dumps of the ram (3000-3800), with the engine idle speed set to 1000, 1250, and 1500 rpm respectively (real car, not simulated). Just guessing, I want to look at these addresses first:

CAS
>>MSB-LSB
30D9-30DA
30ED-30EF
30EB-30EC
30E5-30E6
31D9-31DA
3273-3274
327B-327C
3294-3295
329C-329D
32A3-32A4

TP
30DE
3150
3214

I should get a chance to stick an ecu on my bench simulator this week.

Yeah, we tried 2000 rpm, but the car didn't like that too much.
