ECU common pin-to-part repair list

The following are the common parts the go *poof* when a certain function on the ECU stops working. Before replacing the part figure out why it went stopped working in the first place. This is almost always because something was connected directly to +12V while the ECU was trying to activate the function. Don't do that.

I've just listed the transistor driver for the function. Often times there is an inline resistor as well, but I don't list those as they don't fail.

The OEM part is the manufacturer part number. Most Nissan ECUs use the same parts, so if you need a replacement part most scrap ECUs will provide the part, but this is handy to make sure your getting the right part. No OEM parts are available for new purchase via common vendors. If available I'll list an alternate part that can be purchased new (I need to dig up my notes on this).

The Part-Pin column is the part label and specific pin number on the circuit board. This is the white number underneath or sometimes besides the part. The specific pin number is generally not important- you need to replace the whole part. Parts starting with QAxxx are a multi-pin inline package and can be difficult to remove if you don't have experience and good equipment. Parts starting with Qxxx are a single transistor and are dead easy to replace. So on the B13/S13 ECU the tach driver and the fuel pump relay driver are very easy to fix.

This is for the USDM B13/S13, although most of it is the same for JDM/EDM ECUs. If you have a specific JDM/EDM and need to confirm something just post here and I can check it for you if I have the ECU in stock.

The B14 is going to take more time (it's a bit more complicated to trace), if someone else wants to start on it I'd appreciate it.

USDM B13/S13
