B13 to B14 Romeditor question?

Okay so last night i was taking a peek at the roms....had the rom editor up and wanted to see what could be ported over from the b13 files....barely anything like you said calum (not that i was doubting but wanted to see) It gave me some jeberish in the screen. So i started thinking and im sure it has been tried but i figure i would ask.

What if you had 2 rom editors up and you just copy the maps over. You dont have to import it in the b14 file but just make the same maps as the b13...there for the b14 info stays the same and the maps just change??

Also where is it that i can change what maf im usings....and are there any write ups on what is what in the rom editor...if i can just get a link to some info i should be good.

Brian

Check the rom editor sticky, its got a link to a quick guide to rom editor. If you see giberish, your not using the right adr file. I posted a simple B14 one, and from the thread in the contrib lounge you can put together a pretty decent B13/S13 one.

A few of the maps can just cut and paste over (timing map, target idle, etc), but most of them won't. Most of them work the same way, but its not quite exactly the same, I think. The fuel map is where its waaay different.

Also, 94-95 ecus are slightly different from 96-97. These are the basic iterations of ecus:

91-93 se-r - Very similar to S13 KA/SR ecus, pretty well documented, old style fuel map
94 se-r - OBD-I blue connector, but use new style fuel map
94-95 200sx/G20 - OBD-II, new style fuel maps
96-97 200sx - OBD-II, new style fuel maps, other maps moved around

All of the above use different adr files. You can start to trace some of the differences in the B14 ecus just by comparing the '94 ecu to the 91-93 ecus.

Alright i read the rom editor sticky and even the one for b13 in the ecu tech section but could not find where to change the maf at....like where to specify a sr20de maf...Is it in the K value of the Global tab?

Second off, preparing for the b14 ecu i ran across a s15 jdm bin...i loaded up a b14 adr file then loaded that bin and everything loaded...which brings me to, i wonder if i could use there maps and tune from there since its a turboed car.

Also with using this b14 ecu know do i need to switch to the fat o2 sensor now....or do you cut that out of the program.. I have the skinny one in there know cuase that what the u13 ecu calls for...

With the release of the new Badbiki software and new addresses found. Could you use his software to tune the OBDII 95 boards as he has been successfully tuning MY95 ecu's??
