what timing should i run

Ok i have a usdm ecu with my gtir swap. I got a stock usdm bin and just transfered injector size timing and fuel maps over. but the timing maps are harsh! and i think my base timing is like 20 degrees. i dont know if i should retard the timing and run a less harsh timing map. what do you suggest. Do you happen to have a timing map that you have used on a gtir? if you do i might try that out.

Ill send u my current map right now if you want whats your email?

Why not just use the stock gtir maps?

The stock fuel and timing? Sure, why not? This is a B13 91-93 ecu, right? Or is this a B14 ecu? Adjust the axis to match too of course. Also set the TTPmin and max the same as the gtir. I'm also assuming your using a real gtir motor, don't do this for a DE.

http://www.calumsult.com/calumsu/ROM...20-%20gtir.bin

I've removed the knock retard section of the timing map and set both sets of timing and fuel maps to be identical, but that isn't really important. Open up two copies of Rom Editor, load the stock se-r rom in one and this rom in the second. Look at everything else thats changed. Simple, nothing special.

That is a stock 91 program setup to run a gti-r motor, with stock gtir maf/injectors.

No problem. Hunt down a standard S13 DET adr file, thats pretty much the same for the FWD DE ecu. I'm working on porting everything over to Tuner Pro xdf, but haven't had the time to finish that yet.

Nah, check it out, some kind soul already cooked up an xdf for the 300zx. Thats pretty much what someone with some freetime needs to do for the SR. Maybe sometime next week I'll get around to it.
