Hi,

Right now I use two romulators from Transtronics (see link below). for the 91-93 B13 the 256 dudes will work, and for the 94 B13 and B14 you need the larger one. If you end up going this route I've written some custom software to automagically upload changes to a bin file for live tuning using any rom editor. That is pretty sweet, it makes tuning the k-factor and injector latency for a car really quick. The downside to the romulators is that they don't address trace (ignore what transtronics claims, it doesn't work for Nissan ecus), but the cool thing is they do offer real time tuning.

http://secure.transtronics.com/EPROM%20Emulator.html

There are more expensive emulators that do have working address tracing such as the multirom. Check out Lawernce's page at www.romeditor.com for software based around the multirom. Cool stuff.

I've kicked around a db design to bundle an emulator on-board for a while. I had a board done that had flash roms on board, but you had to turn the carr of to update (so not really an emulator) and the roms I picked went out of production so I pretty much scrapped that idea. Lately I've been kicking around an idea that really is an emulator (with on the fly changes of course, and address tracing). I've got almost all the parts in but still need to order the boards. I'm in no rush.

Thats a regular daughterboard. Nissas ecus use a 16-bit rom, so instead of using a single 16-bit chip I use two 8-bit chips. If your using romulators you do need two of them.
