Have you checked out Erich's Tuner, it is on hybridka. It is simple, has emulation capabilities, simple tuner and pretty good consult and onboard trouble shooting, I am not sure if this will work with the sr's or not.
I like his program, its simple and straight forward. Unfortunatly it doesn't support the comm protocol that the realtime board uses (Romulator). I'd like to develope something like that, but make it open source. One of these days....
