Dumb question? Maybe not?

I did some reading, and found that if I were to run the 95-97 ECU in my 98 SE-R, I would have to do the wiring harness modification, as well as a few vacuum hose reversals, etc.

Will I still need to do this modification to the wiring harness? I'm not so worried about re-routing some vacuum hoses.

Yes. The wiring really isn't a big deal. JWT has excellent documentation.
