you know the type - commuting victims who AREN'T going to let you in - like you'll be stealing a piece of them if you happen to get in front of them on a slow speed merge. Analysis: victims, plain and simple - crappy job, kiss their boss's ass, sheep who aren't going to take it anymore (at least not while they're anonymous inside the cocoon of their car) Likely to Develop Into: nothing, really
The corollory is the active aggressive assholes - the ones who pull back into the merging lane to get four cars ahead. Analysis: small penises, mostly - lots of Vette drivers. Likely to Develop Into: Date Rapists
Whoops - just read Sonny's post and I need to add more.
Two years ago my wife and I went to Europe for five weeks. Southern Germany, Czech & Poland. We were staying with my wife's aunt & uncle near Stuttgart and Anna's uncle was driving us around the Romantic Road towns in his 3 series Bimmer.
This is a fairly conservative 65 year old man - one of the most disciplined drivers I've ever seen. Cruise the Autobahnen at around 200 kph. Almost NEVER drive in the passing lane (unless he was passing). ALWAYS signal. ALWAYS maintain momentum. ALWAYS leave space in front. ALWAYS allow mergers. ALWAYS looking five or six cars ahead. ANTICIPATING not REACTING.
The interesting thing - he didn't stand out - all of the drivers behaved in a similar fashion - there is no road rage in Germany. It also cost about 2000DM and six months of training to get your licence.
Anna and I borrowed one of their cars (a little 1.3L Corsa - topped out at 150kph) and went on a three day trip to Munich. My first merge onto the Autobahn: heavy traffic going full speed. The guy I pulled up beside slows down to let me in. I was impressed (yes - I waved)
Drivers in all three lanes driving at the same speed holding up traffic, can someone please move over?
Agreed when I go to England people there know you dont pass to the right its called undertaking and is illegal(sometimes in Canada you are foreced to do it because some idiot is doing 100 in the left PASSING lane). People also know that the lane to the left is meant for passing and if some car is barreling down on you with an SR20 get the hell out of the way!

i hate slow drivers... they decide to pull out right in front of you when there is like 2 other lanes open and ur coming down the farthest one and they pull in front of you and go slower then sh*t.. come on know.. i get sooo pissed i calmly get next to them get ahead so that theyre window is where my exhaust is at and rev the sh*t outta them heheh and then just gradually take off... grrr
I hate when people drive slow in the fast lane, and when you catch up to them, they dont wanna move. Theres nobody in front of them and like 10 people behind you waiting too.
