Who are you?

Hey guyz, I was just at Jack Astors saturday night in Brampton and I saw a purple 95-97 200SX SE-R in the parking lot with a Greddy or HKS exhaust, is that anyone on the forum? Let me know.

I have a black '98 200SX SE-R, nothing on the outside that would make it look too different than stock. All my mods (so far) are done inside and under the car. Swapped out the stock stereo with some stuff to "hear" music better, ST sway bars and an SMC kwik shifter. You'll see it at kartways and the BBQ hopefully . I'll have some more done by next month (hopefully a wax too 'cause it needs it), I ordered some new wheels and a new suspension. I just got a new Digital video camera, so hopefully I can post some pics soon, I'm still learning how to use the damn thing! What about your NX, what does your car look like?

hmmm. I haven't seen you around town
My NX is red, stock wheels (although I have rota subzeroes with potenza SO-3's in the garage wiaiting) as well as a STB, GReddy exhaust, stillen header, slotted rotors, and full stereo. Intake next, then GR2's, springs (going to keep them in the closet until i can affort agx's in about 4 years) and ES master set. then that's it. I'm going to university next year and cant afford anything else. This car is long term so I can do stuff later.

Kewl. Yeah, I remember first getting into Uni., cost me an arm and a leg!!! Thank God I'm finished now (as of Dec' 01)!!!! Now I just have to pay a little bit for OSAP and then I'm debt free. But anywayz, it sounds like you have a good set up there. You were saying you go to some street races nearby, where and when are they usually at? I've never been to one around here, I'd like to see some it, maybe test out my beast this year, maybe get it on film too!!!! Even though my car will be better set up for autox than draggin, but it doesn't hurt to do it all

If you pull out a camera at those events, I've heard they will kick your ass! No one wants to be on tape doing something illegal.

i havent heard of ppl giving trouble for cameras at races. Sometimes the races are near queen and goreway, but there was a big accident there last year, so most times we have to go to woodbridge. you wouldnt beleive the looks on SiR owners faces when you smoke them! Once a guy was taking pics of my car when we were lining up, i wasnt cool wiht that, but he probably also got pics of me beating that honda. I'll bet there is a honda site with posts like "what the hell is this wierd red thing that comes outta nowhere and beats our cars"

lol, yeah I could imagine their faces. Too bad a lot of Honduh drivers think that they are the be all, and end all of import tuning!!! But that's cool, I'll check it out this year and see how it is. Probably won't race yet, but I'll see what's there either way. Thanks 4 *** info FastNX

the motor wont be that much, like should be 2 grand or so, but the you need the JWT ECU, like 1100 bux, then id definitely go with a FMIC, prolly like 1500, the ES motor mounts for sure, and youll need a strong clutch for sure, thne you gotta worry about the tranny breaking. id figure on 6 grand at least. i know you will not like the sounds of this, but im sure you know how prices just snowball with prices of car parts. If you need a hand, jeez, im there, if im still living here when you do it, id love to help *** ha DET swap

I'm doing the motor, mounts and clutch right away. I'm debating whether to stay TMIC, or if room persists, FMIC. I can't be without my car for a day, so I'll run the BB ECU until JWT does my ECU, or maybe I'll run an S-AFC. We just bought one for my friend with the Turbo Golf. When he gets his motor back, we'll see how it works and maybe I'll go that route!

Thanks for the offer of help. I have 2 mechanic friends helping me out, as well as myself and Stefan with the Golf. The more help, the better!!
