SS Autochrome Header.
Stainless steel
high-flow catalytic converter.
VRS 2.5” stainless steel tubing with custom mount for rear O2 sensor.
24” Magnaflow resonator.
Custom bolt flange in front of rear wheel for PLUG N PLAY mufflers!
You get
TWO:

Apexi World Sport straight-through muffler (for loud and proud).
2.
Meineke stock 2.25” baffled chamber muffler (for quiet long roadtrips and when Grandma rides with ya). Remainder of one-year warranty.
INTERIOR:
Momo steering wheel with hub adapter and 1” spacer, custom painted horn button for stealthy look, Momo logo covered by black tape (can be removed), horn button wired and works!
Stock shift knob but with leather removed (rubber base, kinda nice actually).
Driver’s seat professionally recovered by Absolute Auto Reconditioning (phone 972-680-8108) with Briar Brown cloth center insert (to keep your butt cool and planted in the turns)/soft tan leatherette sides.
Passenger’s and back seats still have factory leather, no cracks or holes but raised seams are starting to wear. Driver’s seat recovering cost $210, passenger will probably cost the same if new owner wants the front seats to match after purchase.
Cruise control:
factory cruise switch retained and relocated to side of center console near shift lever for convenient driver (or passenger) access.
GG Bailey custom-fit brown floormats front, utilitarian rubber mats rear.
Custom folding cupholder from Boater’s World mounted on passenger side of center console.
Bright red LED “alarm” light blinks when ignition is off to scare away thieves (factory alarm works).
Black armrest cover from Geo’s car. Actually a lot of parts from Geo’s car.
Hardwired for Valentine One radar detector, connection cord routes through glovebox so you can put the detector in there and lock it away when parking.
Light for some climate control buttons doesn’t illuminate (bulb inside burnt out?).

MP3, WMA, and ATRAC3plus music files).
17 watts RMS/52 peak x 4 channels.

Detachable face with reminder beep.
18 FM/12 AM presets.

Rotary volume control.
Stock amps removed from trunk, head unit directly rewired to four speakers, bypassing stock speaker wiring.
One pair of
Kenwood KFC-1738C 6.75” 3-way speakers
One pair of
Polk GXR46 4x6 2-way speakers.
Editorial: Very nice subwooferless system, very nice bass off the rear window. Head unit is very versatile: you can play books on tape with a cassette plugged into the aux jack, listen to 10 hours of music on a single MP3 disk, etc. I have another one of these head units for my new car.
MISC. / MAINTENANCE / CAVEATS:
James Vick did most of the maintenance on this car and has spent time driving it. He loves it! Check with him for references.
2002 Sept.19: Clutch, clutch cable, front center motor mount replaced, accelerator cable lubricated, new tranny fluid by dealer’s mechanic before sale.
2003 May 02: Vehicle bought by me from Rose Motors, Roselle, Illinois and delivered by carrier to Dallas, Texas with 53,640 miles. Two owner car: original owners and me. I don’t smoke, they did occasionally, but not noticeable. Original 2003 Carfax and Magoo’s Auto Inspectors Report available.
2003 May: New spark plugs installed from Courtesy Nissan.
2003 June: Climate control fan resistor replaced.
2004 May 14: Passenger driveaxle rebooted.
2004 September: Windshield wiper link arm replaced.
2004 Nov.: Cruise control cancel switch replaced on clutch pedal.
2006 May: Latest four wheel alignment.
2006 July:
New battery installed.
Several light bulbs replaced.
Engine coolant and brake fluid flushed within last year.
K&N drop-in air filter in stock box, resonator removed and hole plugged (you get the resonator in the extra parts box o’ fun).
Timing set to standard 15 degrees to run on 86/87 octane.
Energy suspension shift bushing installed.
Hawk front brakepads, Wagner rear brakepads, both
very recent with little wear.
Car has NO 5th gear popout. Transmission works great!
Oil and filter changed every three months or 3000 miles under my reign, whichever came first (usually by time instead of mileage).
New wheel locks with aftermarket wheel lugnut wrench.
Interior trunk release button disabled for security (it can be reinstated).
Clutch cable replaced 2005 (old one was binding).
Sunroof and power windows all work GREAT.
Lots of extra parts come with the car (interior pieces, resonator, extra taillights, etc.) in the box o’ fun.
Comes with Infiniti remote but ring is broken, broken ring included if you want to try gluing it together.
Comes with several keys including valet keys.
All owners manuals, eBay CD factory service manual, and more included.
Rear driver’s side fender was apparently repaired less than perfectly: slightly dented.
Chip in windshield repaired recently, small dot apparent.
Hella Optilux 1300 driving lights installed in 2006 using stock dash button, also with “parking light” mod so they can turn on with the parking lights and not just the headlights. One cracked so replaced with new one, so buyer gets a spare driving light and packaging.
Replaced:
NEW knock sensor, both O2 sensors, PCV valve, EGR value, cap and rotor, and spark plug wires in attempt to pass Dallas emissions.
Sticker is good till May 2007. I think the aftermarket header makes it a challenge to pass, but new buyer may be lucky enough to live in area without such emissions requirements and headaches.
Clutch cable needs a lube, new EGR value throws a check engine code occasionally and stumbles for 30 seconds on “some” startups, then goes away. I will attempt to fix both this week by lubing the cable and reinstalling the old EGR value (which is fine). I can show buyer how to reset check engine code with a screwdriver in 30 seconds.
RUST? Car spent first 9 years of its life in Illinois. But rust was only evident on undercarriage bolts on underbody, no serious wear, VERY good for an Illinois car. Previous owners had a front tire blowout early in its life, which destroyed the wheelwell liner and cracked the lower front airdam. The airdam was repaired with bolts and a metal strap to replace the previous owner’s packing tape repair, the wheelwell liner was finally replaced by me in 2003 but some rust-through from exposure has started at the VERY bottom of the front fender behind the wheel (first noticed on the lift when installing exhaust, not noticeable from street view).
Replacing the fender would be the easiest, surest fix.
Beige headliner has some common waterstains from sunroof.
Rear quarter lights and one front headlight with broken mount was replaced in 2003 when I got the car (from Geo’s car). Amber doesn’t match with center lights, but hey, it’s symmetrical.
Car has an assorted collection of small dings, scratches and scuffs from 12 years of mingling with its environment.
Lots and lots of receipts, both from me and previous owner, available for viewing. I can make copies but may need to retain most of them for tax records.
Car has participated in one autocross and one track day at SERCA convention in 2005. Has been taken for several country drives out of state. Driven by middle-aged white guy last three years (me).
Air conditioning works GREAT!
WHERE ARE THE AIRBAGS? In the box o’ fun! You’ll get them too. Original wheel leather was badly stained from previous owner’s greasy mitts, so installed Momo wheel and subsequently removed passenger airbag (won’t fire without driver bag installed) and airbag light from dashboard. Wheel was sold, but driver’s airbag and most bolts come with the car. The passenger bag (also comes with the car) had its cover peeled off in an attempt to make a cover. Currently the passenger hole is covered by black presentation board (I’ll cut the new owner a fresh unfaded piece upon purchase). This hole is open to the imagination: additional storage door, custom gauge flipup panel, video screen, etc.
Buyer must sign a release with purchase confirming his/her knowledge that airbags have been removed and thus will not fire.
