I think his other priority is the Lexus IS300 you can see in one of the photos---it's sitting in his garage.
I might take a drive down tomorrow and offer the guy something for it in cash---see if he bites. I don't need another car, but I do have something for that color--yum . Not to mention that it appears to be in good shape.
I love that color. However, I decided I am waiting till next year for a new Z. I will keep my classic till it falls apart. When I was looking that car over on ebay, I was like "I would be all over this if I didn't have one already."

You may be the "high bidder," but you have a LONG way to go before you hit his reserve. I emailed him for some details as I was seriously going to buy it if he would take $3,000. He then shared his reserve price but asked that I not share it. Suffice it to say that you aren't close at $2,8xx.00.

Looking for a low mileage (under 70k), RUST FREE, B13. If you have one, contact me at shumax@yahoo.com
WOW. It still is just a sentra. A high reserve may mean it is in really good shape. When I bought mine the guy wanted 4500 for it. I just didn't offer him it and he took my lower price. Good luck.

A VERY rare Sentra at that. I mean, how many B13 SE-R's can you find to begin with? Then to find one with good paint? How about one with low miles--75,9xx? Then how about one with no rust? At this point, I would *guess* the list is down to a total of about 10 in states. The fact is, he can demand a high price because he has a nice car with low miles. Now, if he were asking $6,500 that would be too much. However, asking something higher than $2,8xx should be expected.
I am the owner of the 93 SE-R on eBay. Thanks to Curt for telling me about this site and to everyone else for saying nice things about the car. Yes, it's in very good condition. I'm the second owner and have only had the car a short time. Yes, I have an IS 300 in the garage (NO idea how Curt saw it). I previously owned a 94 SE-R and wanted another. I also used to work as a Service Manager for Nissan and Toyota for nearly 10 years and was an ASE certified Master Technician before switching careers in 96. Needless to say, the car is in good care and running order.
I hope the car sells on eBay. If not, you guys are welcome to check it out. Curt is right... I am asking strong retail money for the car, but I think it's worth it. It really is the proverbial "little old lady car". The previous owner was a female professor at Ohio University! Besides, I PAID strong retail for it!
Thanks again guys. Hope one of you can own the car. You're obviously SE-R fanatics and I'm sure it would get a good home.
I realize I am not anywhere near his reserve yet, but I don't usually bid realisticly until near the auction's end. All I was getting at is that I had bid on the car before it was posted here.

Sammy, I certainly didn't mean for my post to come as an attack towards you. I apologize if you perceived it that way.
Folks I spoke with the owner of this timeless classic on the phone today. He seems like a very nice individual who knows more than a thing or two about cars, especially Nissans.
I know that he has one buyer that is very interested and I am working on another that lives in Toledo, Ohio. I seriously would make a move on this if you are seriously interested in owning a classic as clean as mine
Seriously--what a great benchmark to start mods. It's been well taken care of; the body is in great shape. Dare I say it's perfect---there is no rust! To an SE-R nut, that means the body is perfect Best of all, an old lady owned it prior to the current owner. Furthermore, the current owner was an ex-Nissan tech. My gosh, what more could a prospective buyer ask for?
No, I am not in bed with this guy. I just think that he has a nice example of what I hear you guys asking for all the time. If I didn't have my classic, his wouldn't be for sale anymore. It would be in my driveway right now being lowered and fitted with some go-fast goodies.
