better to use camber bolts or poor boy's method???

i know that camber plates are the way to go, but i'm not talking about those. would like to know if using camber/crash bolts is better or should i just do the poor boy's method by drilling the top hole for a little more adjustment. reason is, had my alignment done on my first car, everythings great, but tires are still slowly wearing out on the inside. i have used camber bolts before, seem to work decently, as i don't autocross or anything, so they shouldn't slide around. i have two cars that i'm gonna get aligned soon, and only one set of camber bolts. i don't really think it is worth it to buy another set if i can just drill the top hole of the strut. thanks for reading...

if your using the agx's with perched springs and not coil over sleeves, you shouldn't need more than what the eibach bolts will give back to you...

I prefer to FILE the upper hole into a O rather then a circle. Drilling does not work as well. File it to get the adjustment. I prefer having the full size bolt rather then the skinny crash bolts your thinking of avoiding anyway.

I agree with Steve on the bolts, but my opinion is that bolts are not needed at all. Even with the loosen and pull method, you should be able to get your car pretty close to within spec. Even if the camber is a bit out of spec, that's fine as long as the toe is set correctly.

I ran a setup with -1.1 degrees of camber for 3 years on the same set of tires with minimal wear, this is because the toe was set correctly!

Wes is correct. Toe kills tires, not camber (unless its something stupid like 5*)

I used to run my car with 2.5 to 3 degrees and I never corded a tire. I would get a little inside wear, it would look obvious for a little while but then just stopped at that level and then wore evenly after that point. 1.6 is still in factory spec IIRC. 2 is really no big deal. Like Wes said do it the free way and set the toe properly.
