Well, got the axles in... well, I helped, sort of. James came over this morning, did at least 90% of the work. But, I made a point of asking him what he was doing, why and how. Got the opportunity to feel around and have him explain how it should go and feel.

As much bitching as we were doing about pulling the driver's side off, it was even harder to install. But, the total amount of time... just over an hour. If it hadn't been for him, my fat hairy arse cheeks would still be under the car.

I really liked how this worked out. He didn't seem to mind doing most of the install, took the time to explain how and why he was doing something. Showed me some different ways to do it. I did notice on the install, especially drivers side, that a lot of it was by "feel"... that's where experience really helps.

Had I continued to do this myself, there were a couple things not covered on the forum or fsm that I would have messed up.

Of course, I also noticed while we were doing this... my ball joints are in very sad shape. I guess I'll be replacing those in the very near future. I'm going to start another thread about them... most of the info on here is dated. Install information is extremely useful, but what brand of ball joint, not so much.

Thanks to everyone for your input and help... especially to James for his hand on approach.

Peas us Riced,
Mark
