Here's how I tell the difference, but first, a bit of background. I originally had the whiteline 4 pt. brace, worked great but hung too low. I then purchased and currently use the progress brace. If the car was on the track only, I'd use the whiteline brace, it is just a smidge stiffer. But, on the street, you can't really tell.

For an example for what this does for your car. Remember the last time you drove over some rough railroad crossing? Your car kind of darted and shook, didn't it? With the brace, your car stays straight and true... no jumpiness at all. This means your car is now in more control from driver input.

That's the simplest way I can explain the difference in driving between without and with a brace. Hope that helps.

Mark

Thanks Mark My car will probably never see the track but when no one's looking late at night... I'm trying to make her an extremely dialed DD so that kills the 4 point brace, I need the clearance.

we have a very long left hand turn at the track here in the philippines and after installing a copy of the shigspeed underbrace the tires feel more evenly planted to the ground as the cars weight shifts providing for better traction.

Hmmm, that Shigspeed LCAB looks a lot like the original Ken Nord LCAB that's still on my car. I wouldn't buy a brace that doesn't somehow attach to the engine beam. For the same reason a strut bar triangulated to the firewall is better than just a cross-over like almost every strut-tower bar out there, my Stillen included.

I will say that LCAB is a detectable change and worth the money while the STB is not detectable (to me) and not worth the money except for that last little bit of chassis stiffening.
