Why on gawds-earth would he want to actually read something for himself? That would actually require some sort of effort beyond clicking the "Thread Starter" button.

This link is the last time he was told about that little thread on suspensions.

http://www.sr20forum.com/chassis-sus...ml#post2069772

Here's the time before that:

http://www.sr20forum.com/200sx-se-r/...n-set-ups.html

In addition I did a search, just to see what comes up.

1) Advanced Search.

2) "Vogtland' in the subject field. Kinda tricky, but I thought about it for at least two milli-seconds before typing it in.

3) Search all open forums.

4) ONE page of answers, eleven threads including this one.

The Suspension Thread is directly under this one when you do that particular search sequence.

Since this is obviously Rocket Science, do you think I could sell these secrets to North Koreans?

Please read Shawn B's info first. Then decide which direction you want to go for your suspension needs

I have vogtlands on my b15. I love the ride for daily driving. Rides better than stock did to be honest and alot smoother than my k-sports. Def not meant for like hardcore autoxing or racing but they are great on a daily driver.

H&R's are fine for daily driving, though you'll likely bottom out unless you're running on REALLY smooth streets. They work best with CSK's. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend using them on stock full length struts. I had them on my car previously, and they were fine until I went onto uneven roads. Started to hit the bump stops a lot, so yanked them in favor of RM's.

^^^^ Are you running Road Magnets on stock dampners? And if so, do you ever hit the bump stops with them?

Tekkie, he was joking with heavy sarcasm.

You bought your Road Magnets from Rob.

As you point out, the H&R's would be fine with CSK's for a DD. However, NONE of the Major Manufacturers springs work well with our limited suspension travel and OEM length struts.

Gentlemen, the Major Manufacturers will NEVER come out with an acceptable spring for our cars. NEVER. Why? Because they design (term used loosely) the springs for the average consumer that wants a "drop, y0!" but does not want to have to change struts. So they make them lower, and a bit stiffer but not stiff enough, and you ride on your bumpstops. EVERY single major manufacturer does the same thing. NO testing, NO actual real world driving, NO nothing. Just another crappy peice-of-sh*t spring for the casual consumer who is fu*king clueless.

Thee only two (2) conventional springs that work worth a damn for a performance suspension on our vehicles are both designed and built as Exclusive SR20Forum Springs. The Hypercos and Road Magnets.

The only time I hit the bump stop, is every morning when I go over this very particular spot on the way to work. I have since changed my route, and never hit bumpstops. RM's are on AGX's.

EDIT: Don't worry, I'll take you for a ride and you can see for yourself how you like them.

I'm well aware of his sarcasm, and the fact that I bought my RM's from him I was just being silly

Nice. I'm thinking RM's with AGX's or CSK's but I will have to save for quite awhile before that happens. My SE has CAI, SSAC, and will soon have 2.5" cat-back . So I will concentrate on my suspension next. Actually I just bought a Stillen FSTB so I will just continue to work on my suspension set-up. Probably, BIB RSTB and Progress sway bars after that.

I had vogtland lowering springs on my honda accord for a couple years and the ride was great. It was 1.8" drop all the way around. Not sure about your car though.

They will suck on our cars. Your Accord undoubtedly had more suspension travel to begin with, pretty much every car does.

I bet they're only slightly better than those S-Techs on your car. Thee worst springs ever designed for a B14.

^^Unless he had a really old accord Shawn, his had independant double wishbones all the way around. MUCH MUCH bettern then a b13 design. Thats why you see so many 10.00 coil over kits for hondas. Its easy to get away with that with all that wonderful travel.

C'mon, Shawn.... no love for the Progress suspension w/springs? Those were designed with input from Mike K., Progress Rep and our own Toolapcfan, specifically for the B13.
