........what? i have no clue what is being asked. is it that you want to rase the car a 1/2 inch? i know some places carry universal spring spacers.

Get the rubber inserts from nissan that go under the spring. They rise it up about .25" IIRC. Why do you want to raise the spring perches?

I need more suspension travel because my car is too heavy. I don't like coil overs because they are only 8'' and my springs are 14'' so I believe they give smoother off road ride.
Force of spring = spring rate * distance of compression.
So if coilovers have less distance to compress, spring rates must be higher to apply the same force as regular springs.

I'd like to use metal spacers so I don't have to worry about cracking of rubber spacers. Can I just buy universal metal spacers?
What I was thinking about is cutting off stock spring perches from struts and putting them on the top of AGX's perches. Then drill through both perches and bolt them together.
Thanks for pointing this out. You misspelled your sig too. There is no such word as "shawn" it is supposed to be "shown" - the past participle of the verb "to show."

You can probably get softer 14" springs for coilovers.

They are supposed to be "slightly softer" in the front, the same as stock in the rear. I'd imagine even then they'd actually work out to be stiffer than stock. I'd look for like a monroe sensatrac if you want softer.

There is a small error in your chain of logic.
The free length of the spring is not directly related to the amount of travel you have in your suspension system.
Part of it is because the actual travel of the spring is the loaded length (or free length) minus the coil bind height. In other words, a spring with a 14" loaded length and a 12" coil bind height will have less travel than a spring with a 8" loaded length and a 4" coil bind height.
This is a moot point though, because (in a properly designed system) the damper will always run out of travel before the spring reaches coil bind. Basically, it doesn't really matter whether you choose the 8" spring or the 14" spring, because you are going to hit your bump stops before your spring turns stacks down into a solid spacer regardless.
So from a practical standpoint, you should be looking for springs with a low spring rate and sufficient free length to match up to the dampers with the most travel.
If you're on a budget, I would say stick stock springs on a new set of GR2's with some polycellular bump stops (Konis or something of the sort). It won't let your car rock crawl, but it will be tolerable both on tarmac and rocky gravel.
