Whiteline LCA Brace Question

Ok, so I got myself a whiteline LCA brace. Got the one for the RNN14 since everone seemed unable to say that if the B13/B14 brace would clear a 3" DP, plus only he had the RNN14 brace at the time. Got it, mounted up and desided that it sits way to low:

4" is not a lot of room. But, I did notice that I had about an 1" between the brace and the DP. So, question is this: Will a B13/B14 whiteline LCA brace clear a 3" DP? If the B13/B14 model gives you about .5" to an inch more clearance then that would still clear my DP, and that would rock. Anyone, any help would be nice.

Note: No I cant fit a 3 point brace under there (progressive or cusco). Also, for you big suspention gurus, if you think the 4" will be fine, let me know. I am running AGXs with RMs GenII right now. Might switch to Konis in the future.

Take it for a drive you will find that because it sits almost inbetween the front wheels that it is very hard to scrape it on anything. Mine gives me pritty much no greif.

I would, but I don't want to mark it up. That would pretty much void being able to return it.

i have a GTIR with the 3" downpipe clearing whiteline LCA brace. the front suspension is almost identical to the B13 and mine scrapes pretty dang hard when i bottom out the suspension at high speeds over dips in the road. also i have to be VERY slow when rolling over gutters. im lowered about an inch and a half on tein HA coilovers. my wheels are 15x8 with 205/50R15 rubber. my brace is even closer to the ground than yours. what size wheels and tires are you running? from this i could probably tell you if you will scrape or not. the brace is the only aspect of my suspension setup that hinders the everyday drivability of my car and it kind of pisses me off. im contemplating losing the brace as it is a pain in the ass to have to worry about it scraping but then again i come from 4wheeling and im used to having clearance. i guess its the price you pay for good handling.

I have 205/40 R17s right now. I sent that brace back and got a B13 whiteline brace. Hugs the downpipe now but doesn't touch. So I think I'm about as good as it can get. I expect to scrape some, but since i switched from a N15 brace to a B13 one I gained back about an inch more travel.

For all you searchers out there in the future, YES, a whiteline LCA brace will clear a 3" downpipe. (This is on a B14, so the B13 should be the exact same) I will get some pics up tomorrow so people can look at the diffrance between that n14 brace and the B13/B14 brace clearance.

thats great to hear! get those pics up so we can see the difference. if the normal B13 brace will clear the 3" DP then i will gladly switch over as im tired of scraping.

Right, so here is an updated picture of the B13/B14 brace on the same car:

If you notice there is like 1/10 an inch of space between the brace and exhaust. Much nicer.

*NOTE: I have no clue how the hell y car got an inch shorter. I went from sportline springs to RM... the sportline have a 1.9 inch drop, the RM have a 1 inch drop. The car looks visably .9 inch taller in the wheel well, but some how the chassis droped an inch... and I am freaked out about it. At least the brace is as tight to the exhaust as I can get now.

^I installed this on my B13 and it hugs the flexpipe of my SSAC header and this is the 2.25" flexpipe. It vibrates like I have all 4 protane motor mounts on the car. I do not like the way it fits. I'm I reading that the N14 and N15 whiteline 4 point brace comes down a little further? You have a link? My brace might be up for sale soon.

Question for you guys, does it matter what kind of manifold setup you have as to how low the downpipe hangs in order for it to clear? I'm going to be doing this, and was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. This is in reference to avenir versus bluebird manifolds on a B13.
