Chasis stiffness foam application

Dear members,
I heard about a foam that can be used to fill the chassis. Anybody heard anything about that ?. They say that you apply it to some points to the chassis to stiffen it up. Am I wrong on that ?

Thank you
Nippon

Please check under "Braces" in the the thread below:

http://www.sr20forum.com/driveline-t...formation.html

You will find plenty of information on which foam to use and its effect on the vehicle.

If you do have time to look for structural foam in Greece (I do not!), I can tell you everything there is to know about it!! You can always try at tuners.gr !

O.K but because all members haven't been since 2000, I guess that a little bit of understanding wouldn't be a bad idea. Don't you think ?

no. not when i see people make a thread on the most useless sh*t known to man than is the easiest thing to search.

i just typed "chassis foam" in the search bar and found 3 threads within seconds. i don't care if you joined 2 seconds ago. the forum rules state you must search before you make a thread. you obviously havnt put an ounce of energy into searching.

every thread that has been made in the last few weeks has been garbage like "how do i turbo my car yo!" "were can i buy cheap motor mounts?" "where can i find a chip for my car?"

Classicaddict can nearly as aggressive, short-tempered, impatient and nasty as myself. It's one of the reasons I like him so much.

You took his "general statement" out of his signature and made it personal. Note that while he is being rather emphatic towards ALL new members, he did say "please."

Here is what he told you directly:

A bit abrupt perhaps, but 100% on point and accurate none-the-less.

I took the time to look at your "thread starting" history. Which threads you have actually started, and on what topics. You are not a glaring "repeat offender", however you certainly could have found your answers in this thread quite easily via the Search button.

Let me help you out further, the thread below is a tutorial on How to Search. Searching correctly yeilds fast results and quick answers. Searching blindly and not knowing the skill-set involved, yeilds a gazzillion threads or no threads at all. In either of those latter cases, new folks just get frustrated as hell.

http://www.sr20forum.com/new-members...rker-crew.html

That thread is chock-full of tips on correct search methodology. It will help you out immeasurably, far beyond any responses to any thread. It will unlock the door to the vast library of information already posted.

Do not take all "gruff" responses to heart, keep your sense of humor intact, try to see the "opposite viewpoint", and of course, learn how to search correctly. Personally, I am only good at that last bit of advice, but the others are good advice none-the-less.

Welcome to the forum!

i am normally more than happy to help. i have even made a how to thread on how the old inserts should be removed from the body.

i did the how to on a set of motor mounts jen36 sold to a forum member. he never asked me to do it i just decided it would be nice to do (since i have the tools) and i even sand blasted and painted them completely...........im not a jack ass.

however in the past few weeks to a month this forum has been OVER RUN with laziness. i tried to be helpful and nice to everyone. suggest they search but helped them anyway...................obviously you all pay no mind to a well tempered Pete, playing the nice guy helping everyone out.

were im at now: fu*k IT! you guys want to be lazy and destroy/bury all the info we have on this forum? kick ass! because i feel like being the biggest dick head ever! so it all works out therefore, until i see any sort of improvement at all ORRRRRR some moderators doing there job i will continue to treat everyone as children.

further more, expanding on what my home boy shawn said, when i open a thread and notice "i tried to search but just couldnt seem to find what i was looking for" or "i tried to search.............but i suck at it" yadda yadda. i am straight up BALLIN to help that person out. it shows they can help them selves, they just were not successful in doing so this time around. i will go WAY out of my way if need be to find the correct info for said person.
