Road Magnet Install

Got the springs out of the box, and they all look very similar. Look to be about the same length too, so i'm not sure how to tell which of these 4 new road magnet springs are for the front, and which are for the back.

Anyone know how to tell?

The front springs are of a slightly thicker diameter wire then the rears are. I thought that RM was bagging them up in labeled bags, but I guess they might have run out of them.
If you have access to a micrometer or caliper, IIRC the fronts are .05" thicker then the rears, and also there is a very slight difference in height, almost unnoticeable, but the fronts are a touch taller I think.

Thanks, Rob. I ended up just weighting the springs, and judging which ones had the higher spring rate since my calipers were at work. Unfortunately I don't really have any test results, because the small tear in my drive CV boot that I didn't know I had opened up fully when the weight of the hub pulled on it...

But thanks for the quick answer, nonetheless.

no problem. If you have them switched you will know, the rear will sit up incredibly high. Let me know how you like them once you get a chance to drive.

You can also simply use a Cresent wrench. The two thicker ones are the fronts.
