HELP! something wrong with my ???

i've searched with no results, and it's probably because of the lack of information i have about what's wrong.

so here's what's wrong: i was driving to work today, and i slowing down for a stop light when i noticed a clicking noise coming from my front right wheel well that slowed down as my speed slowed. it only makes the noise when i'm between 5-15 mph and it's very faint and you can barely hear it, but i'm afraid it'll get worse. my first and only guess was that maybe it's the cv axle? i used to have an old subaru royale station wagon that did the same thing, and it was the cv axle.

anyways, any help would really be appreciated. i know i'm a newb, and i'm sure this question has come up many times but i couldn't find the threads.

also, i know it says it in the sig, but it's a 95 Sentra SE 5spd.

thanks guys.

Probably the outer CV joint (which is only one part of the axle). You can check it by turning in a tight circle. That is when they usually make the most noise. It is simpler to replace the whole axle.

i feel like such an idiot, guys. i took my front right brake apart this morning and couldn't find anything wrong, but i did however flip my pads to the opposite sides, and the noise is gone. i think the little metal tabs that stick out to let you know you need new pads were hitting something.. not sure what though.

hopefully the noise stays gone!

thanks for the tip, old guy.
