Det engine mount problems

The motor I received from tiger japanese was an automatic and I have a 5 speed. Only the rear mount is bolting up. Is this because the engine is a automatic and my car is a 5 speed? Will some jgy mounts fix this problem or is there a better route to go?

Or would a set of automatic mounts work?

auto or manual the engine is the same. only the tranny is different. are u using the auto tranny or the manual tranny? everything should bolt up perfect if ur using a 5speed tranny.

^You drive a P10 or P11? You suppose to use your existing motor mounts. There should be NO motor mount issue. The motor is the motor. There is no auto motor or manual motor. As madoutb13 mentioned, the tranny decides that for the car. Where are your existing motor mounts?

Yes I drive a p10. Now I am thinking I have aftermarket mounts. The front motor mounts sits where the turbo is. And the rest just do not bolt up.

OK, you said the rear bolts up. On the passenger side, you need to use the mount and mount bracket from your old motor. Your transmission mount should bolt up as well.

The front mount you're going to have to figure something out:

the jgy mounts are just painted factory mounts.

automatic cars have no front dog bone mount and the dimensions of the rear mount are different. everything bolts up the same but if you try to press prothain mounts into the rear automatic mount its going to be too small.

p10 motor mounts are differant than b13 mounts so you are going to need to do some searching on this as the engine you bought likely has b13 mounts on it. go to g20.net

Pics would help. Im almost 100% sure the p10 and b13 mounts are the same. The fact that the engine had an auto tranny is irrelivent. I've never in my 50 or so motor swaps, b13 or p10 had an engine not go on its mounts.
