Time for an overhaul B14...supension all out.

Well, the 200sx is getting to be 14 years old this month. I think it still on stock OEM struts, springs and bushings!

I want to overhaul her and kept it a little bit longer. What bushings should I start with to make her handle better?? Struts..I was thinking budget regular Autozone or OEM. KYB?

thanks for the input.

Depends on your needs. If you just drive the car from point A to point B and don't autocross or do track days, then KYB GR2s will be fine. How many miles on your car? If you have 100k +, then I'm sure the ball joints are original, in that case instead of going though the process of ES front bushings and new ball joints, I would just order new control arms. The springs should be fine also, but again, it depends on how you use the car.

It sounds like you just want your daily beater to be a little more fun to drive. I'd just go w/ agx's w/ your stock springs. Maybe splurge for a rear swaybar and a fstb?
imho

150K, DD pick up the daughter from school and to work. I'm too old for the rice racer crap. Heck, don't even drive past 70 mph. lol...

Control arms for both it is! the ball joint included in it I think? what about the links bushings? If you can think of any other bushings, let me know.

Yes, balljoints are included. I doubt you would see a difference in new new sway bar bushings. I would just do GR2s with new arms and all it a day. My B13 has GR2s and they fit the bill for DD use. You may want to look at the motor mounts on the crossmember. The rear one can crack with age, and cause vibration. It has to deal with a lot of twisting from the engine, so I would take a peek and replace that too, especially if you are replacing the arms.

Check the front sway bar end link nuts for tightness. They tend to loosen up with age. If you want, you can probably find ES end link rubbers at Autozone for around $20.
Get a good front end alighnment after you put in the control arms. Also check the tie rod ends.

Which ones are you talking about? There are inserts made for just about every rubber suspension bushing on the car.

go to rock auto and get your control arms there. get GR-2's for all 4 corners. check your sway bar bushings as they may be toast. if so get some energy suspension bushings for those as they will have no impact on ride quality but should help handling.

if your not to car savey having your local mechanic give it a nice once over wouldn't be a bad idea. get a list of what should be replaced and start from there.

Gofast has pretty good prices on motor mount inserts or they did a couple days ago when I bought a set.
