What causes struts to blow??

I have currently agx with eibach coilovers. The front struts are blown, at least one is for sure.. I bought the car with it already that way but if i get new struts i want to make sure i prevent it from happening again. Can the coilovers be the reason why the struts are blown because the car is lowered too much or?? Any tips/suggestions?

how much is the car lowered this plays a key because sentras dont have alot of suspension travel and if you have it lower than 1.5 inches then it is putting extra strain on the struts causing them to blow easily
if you want it tucked go with d2 or bc coilovers which use shortened struts or csk's

Yeah it sits pretty low.. Here is a pic.

Though the rears are totally fine im wondering if the guy ** me just drove it hard hitting bumps and stuff and thats how maybe it went bad? U would think with coilovers they would take most of the weight..

Yeah, that's actually pretty high

Could be that the car was just driven hard, or you have a bad batch of AGX's. I heard rumors about there being quite a few out there, but I haven't experienced that yet, on mine.

Maybe the guy before you slammed the car and rode around like that everywhere, and raised them back up before you bought the car? They ARE coilovers, so it wouldn't be that hard for him to lift the car back up.

I have gone threw both sides in the front with my agx's and had to raise it up a little the front . by the way I'm running ground control coilover's and I found that using ground control camber plates you gain a extra 1/2 inch lowering with out losing suspension travlel. also use good bump stops !

I think you're all correct.. the dude looked like he didn't care much about the car... should of seen it when i got it... so that would make sense.. thanks a lot, i feel much better putting these on knowing if I drive it the way I do it will probably be ok.
