KYB AGX stiffness settings

Hey guys!

I just installed KYB AGX's and Hyperco Gen-II springs on my b14 last weekend. How stiff should I set the fronts and rears? My car is a DD and an occasional track car. Thanx.

is the lower # mean softer or harder?

From what I understand the adjustment actually is not "stiffness"
Your springs dictate the stiffness, that does not change.
The AGX agjustment is for rebound damping, lower # being the slowest.

honestly for the street if you search it is most common to run what I recommended 2F, 3R start there and play with it, while my new RM springs were settling I ran 2f, 2r but need to bump the rear back to 3R or even 4 now that the springs have settled and it does not feel like my struts are welded.

KYB AGX Damping (this info is for B13s but it ought to be useful)

Front (4 positions)

1- OEM
2- 15% firmer
3 -72% firmer
4 - 123% firmer

Rear - 8 Positions

1- 5% softer
2- OEM
3- 7.5% firmer
4- 15% firmer
5- 43.5% firmer
6- 72% firmer
7- 97.5% firmer
8- 123% firmer

^You guys think 3 is to much for the front? That is a big bump from 2 though.

I think so. I was riding around for a few months w/ the fronts set at 3 and the rear at 6. it handled really well, but it was a little too stiff on the bumps in the road for me. I like the comfort level at 2 for DD, but lost a little on the handling.

^Ok thanks. I'll try 2F/6R and see how that goes. Anybody else with experiences with running 3 on the front?

I ran 3/6 with stock springs and kept them that way when I installed the Hyperco's. Now have a Progress rear bar set at about 75% and have the rear beam bent to zero toe. But, I grew up with English sports cars, so I like a firm ride. I set mine up to 4/8 for the convention track day and it was fine. The idea with adjustable settings is that you can play with them and find your own liking. Tire sidewalls will also affect how firm the suspension feels.

for autocross I am guessing 4/8 would also be optimal?
