Maxima Upgrade & Stock Wheels

Okay I searched my butt off - but I don't feel like reading through 50 threads in which the thread title does not even sound near like it'll have the information I need.

Here's the situation...

I'm upgrading my front brakes on my 91 Se-r to Nx2000 - of course I know this will work with my stock 14 inch wheels.

I am planning on 15 inch wheels, but they won't be ready in time for my rear brake upgrade.

Will the stock 14 inch wheels work with Maxima rear calipers and re-drilled 4x100 maxima rotors?

I need to know since I won't have my 15's ready for another week.

I did search at least on the rear calipers/wheels.

I assumed the fronts would fit since Nx2000's came with 14 inch wheels regardless.

So I may have to get these 15 inch wheels finished and ready to install before I do the upgrade...grrr...

NX wheels are wider than SE-R wheels so the NX calipers don't clear SE-R wheels. You can grind/shave the AD22VF caliper to make it clear the SE-R wheel. Be careful.
Also if you don't have new pads it might clear. Usually people use new pads though so it won't clear like that.
The rears should clear the 14" wheel because they are much smaller but I dunno. I rock NX wheels.
You definitely want ss lines and an NX or Altima master cylinder with that setup. Otherwise the pedal will have too much travel.

Thanks,

I'll just wait until my 200SX wheels are media blasted and I can paint them.

I'll go ahead and get the new tires and install the brakes after I put the larger 15 inch wheels on.

I'll go ahead and order the lines/new pads and MC today.

I'm also installing hyperco gen II's, kyb agx's and slotted front/rear rotors.

I'll be sure to take some pics as I do it...

thanks for the info.

On a B13, run the P10 rear upgrade not the Maxima. The P10 calipers and the Euro NX rear rotors gives you the bigger rear brakes - and they bolt right on.

I wouldn't waste money on the slotted rotors especially in the rear.

How are the P10 rear calipers bigger than the Maxima rear calipers? They can use the same pad although the parking brake brackets are at a different angle.
