Strut Mount Gasket??

Where can you buy one or what can you make one out of and do you really need it?

What I am referring to is the triangular gasket that goes between the strut mount and the strut tower.. I would think it protects both parts from rubbing against each other which over time could cause problems?

I remember reading a post a looong time ago where Steve Foltz recommended using cardboard between the tophats and the body of the car, where it bolts into the shock tower (the factory uses those flimsy orange pieces) to avoid squeaks. I use some of that thick cardboardish gasket maker stuff whenever I install new suspension stuff. It works really well.

Actually I just noticed that stuff is really thin. The roll I have is much thicker, but the same idea.
