I have been around the internet and back trying to find the most cost efficient way of converting the drum brakes on my 1993 B13 to discs. I've seen those conversion kits that cost an arm & leg but what are the pros and cons of this conversion kit? On the other hand there is the option of getting the whole rear beam. However its a lot more bulky than the conversion kit and shipping would be a bit more difficult. What do you think is the best option? If you're leading towards the conversion, what's the best brand you recommend and the cost. If you're leading towards the rear beam, where can I find one and the cost.
No.1 (and fellow B13ners chime in) the B13 has independent rear suspension and rear trailing arms, the B14 has a rear beam. If your converting the rear drums to the SE-R rear disc set up- your gonna need No.1 the rear spindle and Hub assemblies from a 91-94 B13 SE-R. Also (what some people dont know is that the SE-Rs rear hubs are slighty just a tad bigger and beefier with a grease catcher and slightly different rear wheel bearings. Im in the process of doing the conversion myself and have collected my parts and read extensivley on the topic and im still learning more and more. Also of course your going to need the rear calipers, rotors, brake lines, and emergency brake cables as well. Also to top it off suggestions would also be a SE-R brake master cylinder- but if your pumping up the brakes in the fronts, you might want to get from what i hear is good an Altima master cylinder or NX2000 one. I still think its cheaper to get the OEM conversion parts then getting a swap kit, simply because its all an OEM swap- cant get better than that- look in the classifieds, ill bet you can find everything you need and it will still be cheaper. Hope this helps!

Thanks much Sentra GTR-1. I'm gonna search around for the pieces, hopefully somebody has them and is willing to help a backyard mechanic get his build on the way .
Absolutley dude- no problem- oh yeah i forgot your gonna need oh course the rear brake pads as well. When you get everything set up remember to bleed your brakes and lines really well, and use a quality brake Fluid. Im having awesome results with Motul Dot4 Brake fluid- stopping is sooooo much resposive and better! To give you an example oh how cheap you can get the entire rear OEM SE-R brake conversion parts- I got both rear spindle and hub asemblies, emergency brake cables, rear brakes lines, rear rotors, calipers, and rear pads, AND a SE-R master cylinder for a little less than 200.00 bucks! Hows about that for an economical brake upgrade- all i did was upgrade the rears to Powerslot slotted rear rotors, Axxis metal master pads in the backs and Goodridge stainless lines. Keep us posted on your conversion!

You got to be kidding me
I'm in the classifieds day in and day out looking for those pieces. I'll be sure to post updates with the brake upgrade. Although I should just post a thread with my SR20 conversion altogether.
I was lucky enough to purchase a RNN14 GTi-R shell however I need the two front hubs complete with calipers & rotors (AD22VF). Can anyone lend a helping hand or point me to the right direction?

NX2000 or B13 SE-R knuckle/hub & radius rod/torque arm
As the title says, I'm in desperate need of a pair of NX2000/B13 SE-R knuckles/hubs & radius rods/torque arms. This is to facilitate in my rear disc conversion. Unfortunately the RNN14 (Pulsar) and B13 radius rods/torque arms won't work on the B13. The only things I would be able to use from the RNN14 rear knuckle/hub assembly are the rotors and calipers.
nice... i currently have drum brakes on the rear and AD22VE on the front for my B12... Looking to have Skyline brakes on it though... using Cefiro A32 front humbs and Maxima hubs on the rear...
i grabbed some spindles with good berrings, and worn out calipers off of a Nx2000 at Pull A Part for ~$45.00... DEAL! now i need a complete rebuild before install. Napa has good rebulid kit prices but I might as well get All Data info to the dealership for a comarison. napa looks kinda steep, might as well buy new calipers and send in the old ones for the core. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SETUP! i'll need some

Its been a while since I posted anything in here. I currently have in my possession B13 SE-R rear hubs, spindles, RNN14 calipers & rotors. My problem now is that the RNN14 calipers (CL9HA) are seized so I am seeking a set. These can be found on the RNN14 (as mentioned before) or the J30 Maxima (91-94). If anyone happens to know where I can get some from, I'll be most grateful.
