Growling from front suspension under load

This sound familiar to anyone? I wasn't sure what I should search for, since I have no idea what to search for.

When I brake hard, or the front end hits a bump, there is a growling or binding noise that comes from the front end. Any way to fix this?

I'd get the car in the air and do a good ole "visual inspection" under the front of the vehicle. Check for anything loose, broken, or something that just doesn't belong.

Is the vehicle all original with OEM suspension and wheels? Or does it have aftermarket suspension/wheels or other parts of that nature?

Check the front wheel liners for scuff marks made by the tires rubbing on something that possibly came loose.. (that would cause a growling noise lol)

Look everything over and let us know what u find

Defenitley check for rubbing from tires in the wheel well area- check alignment as well. Check to also see if your bushings are shoot and also check those motor mounts as well. Let us know what the dyagnosis is!

where in colorado are you? just curious. i'd definitely check for rubbing, tie rod play, bearings, anything like that. make sure the front end suspension is solid just lift the front end up and shake the front wheels side to side and up n down, any play is not really good.

does it do it on every bump? struts?? visually check all the bushings too..

that's where i'd start! gl!

Let's see:

- end link bushings are new, but I do need to purchase new sway bar bushings before the next track day.
- shocks are good (AGX's) with GC's, not set low at all
- stock wheels w/factory size tires (no rubbing)
- control arm bushings are all original, and in not too bad of shape really.

The alignment could be off from the shock install, but I was waiting to get it done until the suspension settled and I get the B14 wheels and new tires installed this weekend. All nuts/bolts up front are all tight.

Motor mounts are shot. LOL. Could be it...

Usa: I'm in the Junction area.
