N15 Pulsar Scraping noise

I have a JN15 Pulsar that has been making a scrapping noise from the front left for the past 2 weeks, the exact kind of noise you get if you have a stone stuck in your brakes, but I can tell you 100% without a doubt there is nothing wrong with the brakes, I have torn them apart and cleaned everything down and there is nothing wrong there and nothing is rubbing/touching.

Now about 3 weeks before this noise started occurring I replaced the clutch with no problems, so it may be related some how. I thought I might have not tightened the CV nut enough after the clutch job, so I tightened that a bit more even though it was tight, today I just replaced the wheel bearing as I thought that may have been damaged, no difference there. I also replaced the gearbox fluid and made sure it was at the right level, no difference again.

Underneath the car I can see no signs of rubbing as I would expect with a noise like this, so I am at a bit of a loss to what it could be, the only other thing I can think of is the CV joint some how, but its not making the normal clicking noise you get from a CV when its stuffed. I'm almost willing to replace it just to rule it out, although I'm getting a little over spending money on stuff that is not fixing it.

I'm getting a srcaping noise too from the left front on my recently rebuilt NX. Mine is more of a pulsing noise that is only there about 80% of the time. It sounds like it is the brakes but applying brake pressure doesn't make it go away.

I'll be sure to post up here if I find out the problem, we may both be having the same problem.

I found my scraping noise. It was the thin metal guard on the inside of the brake rotor. I guess I must have acciently bent it causing it to touch the rotor. A quick bend in the opposite direction and problem solved.

BTW I found the problem by jacking up the front and rotating the wheels by hand, wish that thought would have occured to me earlier.
