6 speed swap in a b13?

i see every so often that a person does a six speed swap. are they doing a swap from a QR and getting an adapter plate or some other kind of swap? and does it hold any kind of power? i know it might cost more than a b15/p11 swap, but it would be AWESOME to have another gear. any insight would be great. thanks

mazworx sells complete kits...

They don't use an adapter plate, they swap the bellhousing. You need a donor car to do it easily.

I believe the newer 2004+ trannies are what you are looking for. There are a couple years that aren't optimal with the 6 speed.

Take a look in mazworx section dude. This info is all over. Its a very easy swap usuing their kit with the p12 bell housing. I'm in the process of doing the swap with the 750 whp I'm shooting for. They are much stronger than the older transmissions. They say 600 plus whp holding capability for a long time. That big of a difference. And yes use the 04 and up trans. Better gearing.
