Decision between Hyperco & Road Magnet

Now that everyone knows and based on the tons of threads opened for these springs, I want to take a decision of which one should I buy.

I want to run lower than OEM absolutely, run stiffer but not jumpy or hitting potholes, I have kyb AGX.

Roads here are full of holes and potholes everywhere.

From my research (not experience) RMs tend to be slightly stiffer. Also IIRC RMs are a tiny bit lower also.

This is true from my experience on a B13.

I recommend the Hyperco springs.
Hyperco is a progressive rate spring, whereas the RM is linear. You'll appreciate the initial softness a progressive rate spring will offer. I believe the Hyperco maximum rate is almost equal to the RM's linear rate.
Either way, make sure to include some new Koni bumpstops. (Cut in half, so only buy 2.)

Well RMs arent a wrong choice. Google search for a discount code which makes them like 245ish instead of 270 if you do go with them. I'm just about to put a set on my B14. This is for my daily driver so feel difference between the 2 prob wont even be noticed.

I dislike the soft turn-in of the Hyperco (due to the progressive style spring) RM is crisper and has a stiffer rate that I feel matches the AGX better.

Obviously I'm in the minority and both springs are good, but much prefer the RM spring. I've had Hyperco on 3 B13s and RM on two, as well as GC and Koni setups to compare as well.

^^ - I agree. Several years ago I chose the RM, and AGX, for my street legal but mostly tracked '94 B13. Linear springs are more "predictable" when you're driving above 7/10, IMHO.

Although, as I'm approaching relic status (43), I think my choice for DD duty would be the Hyperco.

After using Hypercoil springs on my B14 for years, I dislike them for the exact reason, soft turn-in which leads to an undesired exponential increase in spring rate making it more difficult to handle the car.

If you only care about riding smooth, then by all means, choose Hypercoil. If anything else, I would use and recommend Road Magnet time and time again.
