B13 Sunny - a few bits from Japan

I came across another B13 Sunny surfing the web today:

http://www8.ocn.ne.jp/~tonofb13/

(Babelfish translator helps out a lot.)

From the looks of it, I'd say it's a mid-range '92-'93 Sunny (sub-SR18DE) - the owner calls it a "second generation" B13. I guess that would be like us calling the '93-'94 SE-R a "second-gen" Classic. The best bits are his "Service History," or mods.

This guy's not afraid to be Innovative. When his OEM radio broke, he took the time to change LED with a blue bulb. Kinda cool, but the big cosmetic piece that will make show car fans jump up and down is the R32 Skyline GT-R wing he mounted:

It's a bit big for my tastes, but with the J-spec side skirts, it has that early Lancer EVO look. Apparently, it's a straight fit for a B13 - no cutting shown. The owner notes the weight of the spoiler makes it harder to keep the trunk open.

Something very, very interesting is fact that he half-successfully installed a set of Pulsar GTi-R struts and Tanabe GTi-R springs. The front was raised and there were some clearance problems in the rear, but this proves there is a good degree of interchange between the N14 Pulsar and B13 Sentra. Japanese online auctions have to be super cool.

The spec page shows a "turbo timer," but don't get too excited. I read further on his mods page page and he's just using it the G-Tech features of it. Another online auction item. :p

suspension pieces like the TEIN coilovers for the RNN14 Pulsar GTiR will fit on a B13.

our USDM classics are a mix and match parts of the Lucino, Sunny (obviously), Pulsar, new Pulsar VzR and lower models. and the old RNN14.

Either he's got a few dead bodies in his trunk, that wing is REALLY heavy, or those springs REALLY raise the front end. He must get poor gas mileage 'cause he's always driving uphill

No, I do really like the spoiler. I always wondered what my Classic would look like with a bigger one- not bad! With the wheels, it almost looks like he's going for the rally car look.

also bob is asking about the brakes and guage cluster

SentraPLAYA,
To answer your question. The reason I know I got the engine with the higher compression is because it was from a Primera GT 2.0. Those all have the 10:1 compression. That and I've seen the pistons and they have the flat top. As soon as I get my car back I'm getting it dynoed and we'll see how much power she's putting down.

Well to throw in some more wood in the fire...my stock 93 engine after it seized up from overheating... had flat top pistons from the factory also but its 9.5:1 I have not looked at my Rasheen motor yet but I know its 10:1 to be sure. All I know it goes like a mofo. Power at any RPM due to higher compression and rev happy as hell. I guestimate 160WHP with all the mods I got minimum.
