Pics from my progress front and rear sway bar install

so i just made this just in case it could ever help out someone else when they install there bars, theres not much on the fourm about installing them and i had free time LOL

each box came with a junk load of bolts and washers so when i found out from them the correct way to assy them i took a photo of it lined up with how it would go together on the rear:

This is a close up view of when i assy a rear link:

This is a shot to show u all the hard ware for the rear LOL:

Theses bolts go on the U brackets where the poly bushing go into:

Now for the front its allmost the same heres some info faxed to me from progress:

and heres the front laid out:

And here the end link for the front assy:

And the u brackets for the front:

Now for the install pics, ill start with the rear i used a lift when i had it done but in case u dont have one be safe when useing jackstands. and lube the bushings up good and the end link bolt that connects to the sway bar.

OEM rear bar with ES bushings drivers side, note how the u bracket with the poly bushing is on the rear side of the mount, the progress bar will mount on the drivers side on the front side of the bracket:

Heres a pic of the rear progress bar assy:

Rear OEM compaired to progress bar:

This is the passenger rear U bracket installed, note theres replacement bolts that come with the bars and i replaced the old ones i got in this photo right after i took this shot, the difference with the RT from the left is the Nuts are welded on the rear, so progress supplys 2 new bolts for the RT side only, for the left side they supply 2 bolts and 2 nuts LOL:

welded nuts

Rear Drivers side U bracket installed, see how its on the opposite side that the oem one mounted:

another shot

now for the end links, this is on the drivers side on the rear, i used a trick to get the L bracket in LOL

Presto done

now its put together but not tighten till i adjust is all to make sure everthing is lined up, the L bracket has to sit streight up when the cars at normal ride height

this pic shows how it clears everything

presto done now for the front which is a little more easy unless ur exhaust bolts are rusted like a mother funker

the front is much like the rear but it seemed to go alot quicker but then again i got a full ES master bushing kit so with oem rubber it could have been harder, im not sure:

first thing to do is dissconnet the cat from the exhaust and heres a pic of my front bar, the progress mounts in the same location unlike the rear one did so no supprises LOL:

remove the entire oem bar and bolts and set it aside your not useing anything from it on the new one so find someone with a E, xe, GXE to buy it from u for $20

this is the U bracket installed on the front make sure u put that plate in between the bracket and the chasis:

here again how it lines up

here is how u assy it mines not tighten up yet but u get the idea just make sure its streight and clears everything

heres the job finished, took me and a mechanic on a lift less then 40 mins to install, took more time going over directions LOL so i hope theses pics help someone out there

i put it on soft in the front and medium on the rear

and i just installed a active tuneing rear strut bar and a ebay specail front bar but ill be replaceing it with a better bar down the road it was just that it was allmost free so i could not refuse, i just put the KYB Gr2s on 2 months ageo but i feel there to weak now for the bars and bushings and i hear a little thump everynow in then but i think its my shocks bottoming out now, im about to order a whiteline or progress front underbrace and the whiteline caster bushings and ill ditch the kybs soon for K sport or progress coilovers,

with the suspention mods i got so far the car is a animal and its awsome i love it

looks good mhang. i think on the front the bolt that goes through to sway bar is supposed to be the otherway around....does it matter? i don't know. next time you get anything from the nissan dealer. pick up the exhaust bracket to hold up that cat... i got one for my brothers b13 and it was like 6 bucks or somthing reasonable.
