Oil change problem??

Okay, so a couple days ago, I did an oil change on my car. All Mobil 1 stuff, filter and 4 quarts. The only problem IS, is that the oild doesn't look clean like I'd expect it to look. I checked the dipstick and it reads on the high side. And the color is in between caramel and dark, but still able to see through it.
My only idea is that I didn't get ALL the oil out of the crankcase when i changed it a few days ago?? I was debating doing ANOTHER oild cahgne with cheap stuff, sorta to sflussh the crap out & away. And then do it again with Mobil 1 so that I have GOOD oil in there. Any ideas.. i'm trying to get the 2 oil changes done TODAY.

You leave about a 1/4 quart of oil in the oil pan with each change. The color of the oil depends on how long the previous oil change was. I wouldn't worry about it this time, but don't wait so long for the next change.

the thing IS, we did a change on my boy's Lancer yesterday and his oil looked great. Caramelly color but a little brown. Now grantid, my car has like double the mileage, but I was just worried. But like i said, the oild looks kinda dark already.. like a see-through kinda blackish. it's odd...

Like Eric said, capacity is 4 quarts, but I doubt you'll get more than 3.5 out of it. That darkness is the old remaining oil mixing with the new. It's Mobil1, you should be just fine.

drain and refill with filter change on a B13 SE-R is 3 5/8 Qt according to the FSM, isn't it?
4 Quarts would put it a tad on the high side.

Mine usually takes about 3 3/4 or so. With that extra oil I will use it for the next change. After I drain out all the oil I will run that left over oil through in an attempt to flush any extra older oil out. This may be a lost cause and me just being completly anal but the oil on my dip stick is clear like water.

Maybe put your car on a 2500 mile oil change schedule for a few oil changes.
That could help clean it out a little.
