Another SS Autochrome Header Thread

About 3 weeks ago, my stock downpipe finally rusted through and fell off. I had an SS Autochrome header + downpipe laying around for when this happened.

The install was pretty straightforward. The usual header stud was broken, almost all bolts were frozen on, etc.

On my test drive, I forgot to tighten down the second 02 sensor bung on the downpipe and it flew off into the weeds never to be seen again. Luckily the first 02 sensor bung fit...

Anyhow, I've been driving the car for the past three weeks. The engine feels 'smoother' at all RPMs, throttle response is better and it definitely pulls harder from mid-to-high RPM. Good bang for the buck upgrade! Especially when the cheapest replacement downpipe I could find was over $100...

Oh yeah, my car also has a Pacesetter Monza catback exhaust...

Yeah, the SSAC piece is very nice for the price. My car pulled way harder after I installed one on my JDM motor.

I just installed one also, deffinatley pulls alot harder! But mt car and the rest of the exhaust is only 2.25 and the ssac header and downpipe is 2.5. So theres still a little restriction.

do your self a favor and at the very least cut the tip off of that thing, the inside is like a cheese grader and makes more back pressure than stock.

however i recomend trashing the whole thing and doing this.
2.5 inch stainless steel tubing kit (from the cat back)
and 60mm apexi ws2 muffler.
and you will have 0 back pressure and an exhaust that sounds like a g35's little brother.

Sorry for the slow response/semi-thread resurrection.

You know, I thought I was a little bit crazy but I think my set-up sounds a little like the VQ35DE (350Z/G35) at certain RPMs! Cool!
