NEW Power output??

OKAY, so I'm in the process of getting some S4's on my DD, and I was wondering WHAT kinda power I would be making now? If anyone knows, drop me a line. Here is the car/set-up:

1991 SE-R
S4 cams
SSAC header
Megan cat-back
new cat
Place Racing CAI

ROUGHLY how much HP do you think the car is making now?

Eventually, wanna get a Calum-tuned ECU to remove the top speed, raise the rev limit and program it for 91 Octane... any ideas?

hm....155whp. How big is the Megan exhaust. I know the S4 cams like to breathe as much as possible.

much appreciated KnuckleDuster & Nismo... I was thinking in the 155-160 whp range. So at the engine, I'd be in the 190-200 hp range? Oh, and the Megan is 2.25" all the way thru. I did the header, Cat & Exhaust at the same time.. adn the PR CAI is a 3" tube I'm pretty sure...

Get a 3'' exhaust system. If your power hungry custom fabricate a 3'' downpipe for your header. I have heard that it makes a big improvement with the bigger piping because those cams make the motor breath. You should definately be in that range though as far as power goes.

well, I have a spare B13 ECU, so when I get the loot, I'm gonna have Calum program is for me, remove the speed limiter, raise the rev limit, remap the ECU for 91 Octane & the S4's....

I am going to say about 150 whp.

When my DE was NA back in the days I had

JDM DE 10.1
S4's
JWT ECU (100 shot program)
2.5" Exhaust
HS Gen3 Header with custom made 2.5 " down pipe
UR pullies 2 set
HS WAI with JWT Pop Charger
MSD Ignition

The car put down 159.8 whp. The car could have made a bit more but it was tuned for nitrous.

That can give you an idea of what to expect.

Really, I didn't know that. I topped it out bone stock at 125mph like the first day I had it, when i lowered it, it did about 127mph. Then with the headers, cat and 2.25" exhaust.. I've done 135mph in it. ANd about 131mph in it on the DAILY with my pops in the car.. he loves my Classic. haha. Thing IS, I am going to have Calum use a ECU from a 1992 B13 I think.. so I've gotta have him remove the top speed limiter, raise the rev limit, etc etc....

AND I was thinking in the 150-160whp range....I've gotta get a new clutch, and when i do that I'm gonan get a Fidanza Flywheel also. And prolly do the pullies then.. if I can find a set.

B13's don't have a speed limiter... as mentioned in post #10. And why would you want to raise the rev limiter when the mods you will be adding won't help you above 7000 rpm's as it is?

You might as well leave your stock ecu in there and bump the timing up to 17-19 degrees and run 91 octane.

All I do is run 91 octane ANYWAYS, but with the ECU, I can have the timing adjust electronically as opposed to mechyanically. Plus, it'll idle better if Calum tunes the ECU.
It's going to be run for a WHILE though without a tuned-ECU *** I have to scrape the money together to have Calum do it. PLUS, it'll take like 2-3 weeks to get it tuned. But it's as good or better than a JWT ECU so I'm patient.
